The available status evidence does not confirm a Black Ops 6-specific outage. IsDown reported Call of Duty working normally at its October 7, 2026, 3:04 PM EDT check, with one user report in the previous 24 hours; that is a crowdsourced, franchise-wide reading, not an official BO6 status. Activision’s status page did not expose a readable live BO6 indicator in the available check. Refresh Activision’s Online Services page and check your platform’s network status for the latest information.
How to check whether BO6 servers are down
- Check Activision’s game status. Open Activision Online Services, select Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and your platform, then refresh the page. Activision says an alert or a platform indicator that is not green may signal connectivity problems until service is restored. The page also offers outage reporting and points to @ATVIAssist for updates.
- Check your platform’s network. Use the status link for Xbox, PlayStation Network, Battle.net, Nintendo, Steam or Epic Games from Activision’s Online Services page. A platform-side problem can block access even when no game-service event is listed.
- Compare the signals carefully. Activision’s page is the official place to check game service notices; a platform status page covers the network your device uses. Third-party trackers such as IsDown collect user reports and may show franchise-wide rather than BO6-specific conditions. Treat these as different kinds of evidence, not interchangeable confirmation.
Status can change quickly. The October 7, 2026, 3:04 PM EDT IsDown reading was normal for Call of Duty overall and showed one user report in the preceding 24 hours; it does not establish the current status of Black Ops 6, a particular platform or a particular region. An all-clear also cannot rule out problems affecting an individual player’s route or region.
If status pages show no outage
When Activision and your platform show no alert, check the connection between your device and the internet. Activision notes that other factors can affect connection quality even when the platform indicator is green and no service alert is posted.
- Confirm that your console or PC account is signed in, then run the device’s network test.
- Restart your router and pause downloads or streaming that are using substantial bandwidth.
- Test the game after each change so you can tell which step helped.
- Activision strongly recommends wired Ethernet for online gameplay. A cable may help with unreliable Wi-Fi, but it will not fix an outage at Activision or your platform provider.
Run the connection test for your platform
Xbox
Press the Xbox button, then go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings > Test network connection. Activision also recommends trying Test multiplayer connection to help identify problems related to lag and disconnections.
#1 Best Overall
- Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower.
- This is signature Black Ops across a cinematic single-player Campaign, a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, and the epic return of Round-Based Zombies.
- The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
- In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
- Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.

When to try router changes or contact your ISP
If the built-in network test or basic home-network checks point to a connection problem, continue with the troubleshooting for your platform or contact your internet provider. Activision’s connectivity guide lists UPnP and port forwarding as later router tests. These are advanced options, not first-line ways to fix a suspected server outage. Its guidance discusses DMZ for consoles only and explicitly says to remove the console from the DMZ after testing; do not leave it enabled as a routine fix.
