Are DayZ servers down today?
There is not enough current status information to say that DayZ servers are either up or down. A third-party outage page snapshot is too old to establish the live state, and the available official support pages do not provide a real-time server-status indicator. Check current official communications or the server you are trying to join rather than treating an old outage report as proof.

Bohemia Interactive’s DayZ multiplayer support FAQ says an empty server browser on Wednesday is most likely related to scheduled maintenance, which it lists for Wednesdays at 08:00 GMT+1. The FAQ advises contacting support if the problem persists after maintenance. This schedule is guidance for missing servers in the browser; it does not establish that every connection problem is maintenance or confirm a current outage.
What does the DayZ authentication error mean?
“Authentication error” is a broad description, not a single diagnosis. The DayZ error-code reference distinguishes ordinary connection failures from authentication, ticket, account-session, and request-validation failures. Match the complete code and message shown in your game to the documented meaning.

The error reference defines what each code represents; it does not diagnose a particular player’s incident or identify the live health of all DayZ servers.
What to check when you cannot see servers or connect
- Write down the exact code and wording. Do not reduce a timeout, unreachable-server message, and AUTH-prefixed error to the same “servers down” explanation.
- If the browser is empty on Wednesday, account for the published maintenance schedule. Bohemia Interactive lists maintenance at 08:00 GMT+1 and recommends contacting support if the issue continues afterward.
- If the problem persists after maintenance, use the official DayZ support page. It is the support route for continuing server-browser problems.
The documented errors do not support one universal client-side fix. Use the exact code when seeking help; do not assume a particular repair applies to every authentication failure.

How to distinguish an outage from an individual error
An empty browser, a connection timeout, and an authentication kick are different symptoms, but none alone proves whether a problem is local or global. An empty browser may coincide with scheduled maintenance; an unreachable-server message indicates a connection failure; and an AUTH code identifies a particular class of validation or session problem. Confirming a broader outage requires current status information, which the available sources do not establish.
