What the two games offer
Jackbox Party Pack 4: group party games
Epic lists five games in the collection: Fibbage 3 (2–8 players), Fibbage: Enough About You (3–8), Survive the Internet (3–8), Monster Seeking Monster (3–7), and Bracketeering (3–16). Its page also lists Civic Doodle (3–8) and describes the pack as “FIVE AND A HALF” games, apparently counting Fibbage 3 and its alternate mode separately. Players can join using phones, tablets, or computers; extra controllers are not required. The Epic listing gives an October 19, 2017 release date. See the official listing and its details.
The Darkside Detective: comic occult investigations
This point-and-click adventure follows Detective Francis McQueen and Officer Patrick Dooley as they investigate strange cases in Twin Lakes. Epic describes its listing as the complete Season One collection and gives a December 7, 2021 release date. The games suit different occasions: Party Pack 4 is built around multiplayer party play, while The Darkside Detective is a solo-style investigative adventure. Choose based on whether you want a group game or a story-led mystery, not on the assumption that both are free.
How to verify an Epic giveaway
- Open Epic’s free-games page and look for the exact game title in the current offers.
- Open the game’s individual Epic listing and check whether it presents a free claim or a purchase price. Confirm the offer’s end time in your region.
- If the offer is active, follow Epic’s claim or checkout flow while signed in to the account where you want the game. A sale discount is not the same as a free giveaway.
Why an older Jackbox free offer can cause confusion
Jackbox Games announced a free offer in January 2019 for the original The Jackbox Party Pack, not Party Pack 4. The announcement said the offer ran through February 7, 2019, and that claimed copies were yours to keep. It is historical and does not establish a current offer for either game in this article.
