Yes: Bomberman Blast is an original Wii game advertised for battles with one to eight players. But its eight-player online mode relied on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, which Nintendo discontinued on May 20, 2014. Nintendo says offline play remains available for affected games, so don’t treat the old online-player claim as a currently working service.
The original Wii’s eight-player option: Bomberman Blast
Konami’s official Japanese product page for Wi-Fi 8-player Battle Bomberman lists support for one to eight players and names both Wii Remotes and GameCube controllers as supported controllers. Nintendo’s Western Bomberman Blast page describes the game as a WiiWare title and advertises battles for up to eight players online. The two pages establish the game’s Wii identity and advertised player count, but the online feature was tied to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, not a service that Nintendo still operates. Konami’s product information is in Japanese.
Nintendo ended Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection on May 20, 2014. Its discontinuation notice says the change does not prevent offline play of affected titles. That supports offline play in general; it does not establish that every part of Bomberman Blast’s multiplayer can be played with eight people locally. The cited product pages do not specify an eight-player local mode, so confirm the edition and setup before buying if local eight-player play is essential.
The official pages also do not establish a current Wii Shop purchase route, present-day stock, or physical-copy availability in your region. Check the exact edition and seller listing rather than assuming the WiiWare title is currently available to purchase.

Don’t mistake Wii U’s eight-player Smash for a Wii game
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has local 8-Player Smash, but it runs on Wii U, not the original Wii. Nintendo’s official game page notes that eight-player mode is unavailable on some stages. If you mean the original Wii, the related Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a different game: Nintendo describes it as playable with up to three friends, or four players total.
Wii U Smash controller setup
Controller requirements depend on how the group wants to play. For a setup using eight GameCube controllers, Nintendo says two Wii U GameCube Controller Adapters are required. The game supports other controller configurations as well. See Nintendo’s 8-Player Smash setup guide for the instructions.
