Silent Hill 2
The PS5 remake follows James Sunderland into the fogbound town of Silent Hill. Sony describes it as psychological horror and calls it a “master class in psychological horror”; that is Sony’s characterization, not an independent review judgment.
Until Dawn
This rebuilt PS5 version centers on a slasher-horror story where choices affect which characters survive. In the announcement, Sony’s Adam Michel wrote: “Your actions and choices will determine who survives in this definitive version of the seminal horror classic.”

Do you need PS Plus Extra or Premium?
The October 2025 announcement placed both titles in the Game Catalog for Extra and Premium members. They were not unconditional free-to-keep downloads: catalog access is a membership benefit, and a title may leave the catalog. Sony explains its tier benefits and catalog access on the PlayStation Plus page. Tier details and availability may vary by region and change over time.
Are Silent Hill 2 and Until Dawn still available?
The October 2025 announcement establishes that both were scheduled to enter the catalog on October 21, 2025; it does not establish their current October 2026 status. Catalog lineups can change, and regional offerings can differ. Check the games’ listing in your local PlayStation Store before subscribing or relying on catalog access.
