Arena Breakout: Infinite Is Fully Released—What It Offers and How It Compares With Escape from Tarkov

Arena Breakout: Infinite is fully released after its 2024 early-access launch. Here is what its current Steam listing says and why claims about doing what Tarkov cannot need qualification.

Arena Breakout: Infinite is no longer awaiting launch: its PC early access began on August 13, 2024, and Steam records its full release on September 15, 2025. It is a free-to-play extraction shooter with PvPvE combat, solo and team options, and in-game purchases. But the claim that it does something Escape from Tarkov cannot is not established by the available matched evidence; the games need to be compared on specific features before that verdict is justified.

When did Arena Breakout: Infinite launch?

There were two distinct milestones. MoreFun Studios announced on August 7, 2024 that PC early access would start August 13, 2024 through the game’s official website. Steam lists September 15, 2025 as the full-release date and Steam launch date.

Those dates describe different stages, not conflicting launch claims: early access came first, followed by the full release. MoreFun’s 2024 announcement said details about Steam and version 1.0 would be shared at Gamescom that year. Steam’s store listing provides the current release date, while the 2024 announcement documents the early-access plan.

What kind of game is it?

Steam describes Arena Breakout: Infinite as a high-stakes tactical extraction shooter. Players enter combat, search for loot, and try to reach an extraction point. The experience combines player-versus-player and player-versus-environment encounters (PvPvE), so the threat is not limited to other players.

  • SPECIAL abilities can be used for an extra challenge.
  • PLAY simultaneously to keep the action going! Everyone places their current ship in the same limited time, aim your lasers and hope you don't miss and hit an asteroid instead!

The storefront’s current description lists six maps, dynamic weather, and three difficulty tiers: Normal, Lockdown, and Forbidden Zone. It also advertises Tactical Ops, Solo Ops, Covert Ops, and limited-time events. These are live-game and storefront claims that may change with updates, rather than a permanent specification.

Weapons and customization

MoreFun’s current Steam description advertises over 75 weapons and more than 900 modifications across 20-plus attachment slots. Those are developer-provided product figures, not independent measurements or a guarantee that every item is available in every mode.

Full-release features versus the current listing

MoreFun’s September 2025 full-release blog described five maps at launch, along with dynamic weather, random extraction points, and supply stations. Steam’s current description lists six maps. The figures refer to different points in the game’s development: five was the reported full-release lineup, while six is the present storefront claim. See the full-release blog on Steam for the launch context and the current Steam page for the live listing.

The Steam update area, when checked in 2026, featured Season 7: Utopia. Its notes described two zombie modes, a merchant system, weapon and balance changes, progression updates, and graphics updates. Season details are especially time-sensitive; check the live store page for what is currently available.

Does it do something Escape from Tarkov can’t?

That is a claim to test, not a conclusion supported by the available evidence. The sources for Arena Breakout: Infinite describe its modes, store model, and current feature set, but do not provide a current, like-for-like account of Escape from Tarkov. They therefore cannot establish which specific feature Tarkov lacks, whether one game handles a shared system differently today, or which performs better.

A useful comparison would need current evidence for both games on the same axes: access and storefront model, modes, raid and extraction mechanics, progression, monetization, system requirements and performance, and update cadence. Without that matched basis, it is fair to say that Arena Breakout: Infinite offers a particular set of extraction-shooter features, but not that it objectively does what Tarkov cannot or that either game is the better choice.

Pathbind: Arena – Strategic Duel Card Game | Predict Your Opponent, Counter Their Move, Strike at the Right Time | 1–6 Players
  • DUELS BASED ON READING YOUR OPPONENT. Inspired by the tense mind games of classic fighting games such as Mortal Kombat, Pathbind: Arena focuses on prediction, timing and decisive strikes. Each round is a tactical duel. Success comes from assessing your opponent’s intent, anticipating counters, and choosing the right moment to strike rather than playing cards blindly.
  • SHORT ROUNDS, DECISIVE OUTCOMES. Duels resolve quickly, but they are not trivial. A single well-timed decision can end a round, while poor timing or over-commitment is immediately punished.
  • TIMING AND COMMITMENT OVER RAW STATS. Arena is not about comparing numbers. It is about when you act, how you commit, and how you respond to pressure. High values alone do not guarantee success.
  • FAST TO PLAY, STRATEGIC TO MASTER. Arena plays quickly and keeps downtime low, but depth comes from mastering tempo, recognising patterns, and adapting to your opponent across repeated duels.
  • DESIGNED FOR DIRECT, COMPETITIVE PLAY. Arena is built for players who enjoy head-to-head confrontation and tactical mind-games. If you are looking for a casual party game or a simple card comparison experience, this is not the right product.

MoreFun has described its own goals in positive terms. In its September 2, 2025 Steam full-release blog, the development team said its guiding philosophy was “authentic gunplay, distinct visual identity, intense combat immersion, and a fair competitive experience.” That is the developer’s stated design intent, not independent confirmation that the game is fair or that it outperforms a competitor.

Is Arena Breakout: Infinite free, and what should PC players know?

Steam lists the game as free to play, with in-app purchases and chance-based in-game purchases. A free-to-play listing does not mean every item or service is free, and the disclosure alone does not establish whether the monetization is fair. Steam also says a Level Infinite Pass third-party account is required and identifies the game’s Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE) as kernel-level anti-cheat software.

Steam’s listing currently specifies Windows 10 or later, at least 12 GB of RAM, and 70 GB of storage. Store requirements can change, so check the current system requirements before installing. The store page also lists online PvP and co-op support.

What should players take away from the launch and comparison?

Arena Breakout: Infinite has moved from PC early access in August 2024 to a full Steam release in September 2025. Its current Steam listing presents a free-to-play PvPvE extraction shooter with solo and team modes, evolving live-service content, and disclosed in-game purchases. That makes it a concrete option in the genre, but the headline’s strongest comparison—what it can do that Escape from Tarkov cannot—remains unverified without current primary evidence for both games.
