The likely subject behind the phrase “skipping controversial feature” is the mission-skip system: a way to bypass a season mission rather than complete it through play.
What are Arena Breakout: Infinite’s mission skip cards?
Arena Breakout: Infinite is a Windows PC extraction shooter with modes including Tactical Ops, Solo Ops, Covert Ops, and limited-time events, according to the official game page. Its official Season 7 events announcement lists “Season Mission Skip Cards” among the rewards. The announcement confirms the cards are present in that season’s reward context, but does not explain their exact rules.
A community guide for Season 6 says one card could complete one mission in its corresponding season phase, after which the mission counted as completed. That same guide describes one free card per phase and additional cards available for season points in phases two and three. Those details apply to the guide’s Season 6 account; they should not be treated as confirmed Season 7 quantities, eligibility rules, or acquisition methods. See ReadyABI’s Season 6 guide and the official Season 7 announcement.
Why might players use a mission skip?
Some guide writers and community posts describe certain mission requirements as tedious, punishing, or simply not enjoyable, and recommend bypassing them. For a player who is stuck on an unwanted objective or would rather spend time on other parts of the game, a limited skip can offer flexibility. Examples of that rationale appear in a guide titled “Mission Chokepoints You Should Skip” and in community discussions using phrases such as “Another FORCED quests?” and “PvE Is Being Removed?” These are individual examples, not evidence of how most players feel. The guide, the “Another FORCED quests?” discussion, and the “PvE Is Being Removed?” discussion illustrate that rationale.

What makes skipping missions a point of debate?
The basic trade-off is between player choice and the meaning of progression. A bypass may help someone avoid an objective they find frustrating; someone who values completing objectives through gameplay could reasonably ask whether skipping weakens the sense of achievement or changes how progression is earned. That is a way to frame the design question, not a documented claim about the prevalence of either view. The available community examples support complaints about difficult or undesirable tasks, but do not establish a broad backlash, a majority position, or a developer response to criticism.
Whether the feature feels fair also depends on season-specific details: how many cards are available, whether they are renewable, how they are earned, and what progress or rewards are affected by using one. The Season 7 announcement confirms the item’s presence among rewards but does not answer those questions. The Season 6 guide’s quantities and season-point route cannot fill that gap for Season 7.

Are skip cards sold for real money?
The sources cited here do not establish that mission skip cards themselves are sold for real money. The ESRB rates Arena Breakout: Infinite Mature 17+ for blood, strong language, and violence, and lists user interaction and in-game purchases; that general rating information is not proof that this particular feature is directly monetized. See the ESRB rating.

The official Season 7 events announcement establishes that Season Mission Skip Cards appear among that season’s mission rewards. It does not specify current card limits, how a card is used, whether cards can be bought with season points, or what conditions make a mission eligible. Until those rules are stated in season-specific official information, Season 6 details should remain clearly labeled as historical guide information rather than current policy.
