Aberration zones at a glance
This is a broad guide to the map’s major regions, not a complete inventory of every named landmark or subarea. The regional descriptions below follow the ARK Official Community Wiki’s Aberration overview, which is community-maintained rather than Studio Wildcard technical documentation.

Fertile: learn the map and get established
Fertile is the most forgiving broad region to start exploring because the community wiki describes it as having no negative effects and lists multiple Fertile spawn choices. That makes it a sensible area to learn the enclosed map and establish an initial foothold.
“Most forgiving” does not mean risk-free. Local creatures and mushroom effects can still matter, so assess the immediate route and surroundings rather than treating the whole green region as safe.

Bioluminescent: cold exploration and blue gems
The Bioluminescent region is cold, and the wiki associates blue gem clusters with this biome. It is a useful destination when you are ready to move beyond the green region into colder, more specialized underground exploration.
Do not mistake the blue area for a hazard-free resource zone: mushroom spores and other environmental hazards occur across the map. The broad regional description identifies the cold and gem association, but does not establish an exact route or guarantee a particular cluster at a specific marker.

Element: radiation-aware trips and red gems
Parts of the Element region contain radiation. Without protection, radiation can cause sickness in survivors and tamed creatures, so prepare for both before taking them into an affected area. Radiation is not described as covering the entire region.
The wiki associates red gem clusters and brown-stemmed mushrooms with this area. Treat those as broad regional pointers rather than a precise resource route or boundary map.

Surface: a high-risk excursion for oil and crates
The Surface has extreme temperature conditions, but it is also noted for abundant oil rocks and frequent supply-crate drops. Those uses make it worth considering as a planned excursion. The overview does not establish current time-of-day tactics or a universally safe window, so do not rely on a generic schedule without checking current in-game conditions.

Aberration is enclosed, dark, and full of twisting underground routes. The community wiki recommends carrying a compass or GPS to avoid getting turned around. Its Aberration Explorer Map page warns that data needs updating for Ascended and that some map information had not yet been added.
A third-party Nitrado Aberration resource map for ARK: Survival Ascended can be a lookup aid, but its presence does not establish that every marker is accurate or exhaustive. Confirm consequential routes and resource locations in your current game.
