The exact crop eligibility, watering needs, and timers vary, so check each crop’s details in the current game client.
This guide reflects information available as of October 8, 2026. The October 7 announcement schedules new farming features for October 15; they are announced changes, not confirmed live features as of that date.
How do I grow crops in Arknights: Endfield?
For manual farming, use an Eco-Farm plot: obtain the plant or seeds, craft and place the matching plot, germinate the seeds, water as the crop requires, wait for its growth interval, then harvest. The secondary guides identify the Valley IV Eco-Farm at Originium Science Park and the Wuling Agricultural Test Site as locations to look for plots. Exact recipes and crop exceptions can change, so use the requirements shown in your current client.
- Find the relevant Eco-Farm and check which plot and crop are available there.
- Collect the required plant or seeds and craft the matching plot if needed.
- Place the plot, germinate the seeds, and water it when prompted.
- Wait for the crop’s growth timer and harvest when it is ready.
Some crops may need more than one watering session, and Eco-Farm plots can produce special crop variants. Those details are crop-specific; do not assume every plant follows the same care cycle.

Manual Eco-Farm plots vs. AIC crop automation

These are separate routes, not two names for the same farm machine. AIC automation is useful for eligible common crops, but it does not replace Eco-Farm plots for every plant or special variant.
How do I unlock planting and automate farming?
The Endfield Hub guide reports that Basic AIC II and the Planting research node unlock the Seed-Picking Unit and Planting Unit. The facility wiki also lists Basic AIC II / Planting as the Planting Unit requirement, and Wuling AIC I / Hydroponics for fluid mode. These progression details come from third-party references, so confirm the current requirements in the AIC interface.

Set up the seed-and-crop loop
The Seed-Picking Unit is described as converting one crop into two seeds. Paired with Planting Units, it can sustain a repeating supply for eligible crops. That conversion should not be taken to mean that every crop can be grown this way: check whether the crop is accepted by the AIC facilities.
Automate watering where supported
Community-maintained information lists Sprinklers or a Gas Dispersing Unit as ways to automate watering for applicable plots; the Endfield Hub guide specifically mentions the Wuling site’s sprinkler facility. These options apply only where the relevant plot and facility support them. They are distinct from the Auto-Farmer announced for Si’s Painting.

Do not confuse the Growth Chamber with crop plots
The Growth Chamber aboard the Dijiang is a separate system described as cultivating rare growths and ores used for operator promotion and skill materials. It is not the field-plot cycle of germination, crop care, and harvest.
How long does each crop take to grow?
There is no reliable universal timer. The Endfield Hub guide says growth time and watering requirements differ by crop, while the official sources reviewed do not establish current crop-by-crop times, watering counts, or harvest yields. Check the crop or plot details in the live client rather than relying on a single timer or an old table.

The official Arknights: Endfield development communication of March 2, 2026, says actions including germinating, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting were shortened. It also states: “Improved fertilization efficiency: When fertilizing plots during the growth phase, the growth boost from [Burdo-Muck] has been increased from 1 minute to 1 hour.” The one-hour figure is Burdo-Muck’s stated growth boost for plots in the growth phase—not a crop’s total growth time. Read the official development communication.

In an October 7, 2026 announcement, the team scheduled several farming changes for the Sanctuary of Ink version on October 15. As of October 8, these were announced for a future release, not confirmed as available in-game.
