How to unlock Gear Artificing in Wuling
The reported unlock route is to progress through Wuling’s regional story until the “Gear Artificing” side quest becomes available. Visit the Bureau of Swordmancers NPC in Wuling City to receive the tutorial. Gear Assembly must already be unlocked. Where to find Wuling Artificing Catalysts
The guide reports Wuling Stock Redistribution at three locations as sources of the catalyst:
- Fangxing Avenue
- Citizen Square
- Field Logistics Depot
Check each location’s current stock, with Fangxing Avenue highlighted by the guide as a useful stop. It does not verify how many catalysts each location sells or when stock refreshes, so do not rely on a particular purchase limit or reset cadence. Nerd’s Chalk’s location guide

What you need for an attempt
An attempt uses the target gear, a sacrifice gear piece accepted by the interface, and a catalyst matching the target gear’s region. The system tutorial specifies gold-quality gear for the attempt and a sacrifice of the same equipping part. For Wuling gear, the Grizzled Edge Armor T1 database entry lists one Wuling Artificing Catalyst and same-slot equipment among the materials. That is an item-specific example, not proof that every gear piece has identical requirements. Grizzled Edge Armor T1 entry

How to artific gear step by step
- Choose a worthwhile target. Check its set and current attributes before spending materials. As a resource-management choice, save attempts for gear you expect to keep and operators you prioritize.
- Confirm the sacrifice is eligible. Use a piece of the same equipping part and verify that the game accepts it. The interface should resolve any ambiguity about rarity or other restrictions.
- Open Gear Assembly and choose Artificing.
- Select the target gear and the attribute you want to improve.
- Select the sacrifice piece. The guide says a “Good Match” sacrifice—one with a higher value in the relevant substat—improves the immediate success odds. Check the displayed match status rather than assuming a piece qualifies.
- Provide the regional catalyst and attempt the upgrade. For a Wuling target, use a Wuling Artificing Catalyst; the Grizzled Edge Armor T1 example lists one per attempt.

What happens when an attempt fails
According to the guide, a failed attempt adds progress to a bar for the selected attribute. You can make further attempts until the attribute succeeds or reaches its guarantee threshold. Do not assume one universal threshold: the Grizzled Edge Armor T1 database entry shows attribute pity counters of 6, 12, and 20 for its three listed artificing levels. Gryphline’s July 11, 2026 update announcement covers compatible assembly-technique switching for gold-quality gear. Different techniques consume different kinds and quantities of stock bills and components; the announcement says the newest technique receives a 99% stock-bill discount. The same announcement describes an Arsenal Defense Crate reward path that grants fully artificed level-60 gear for completing an operator trial event, with matching templates unlocking upon reaching Wuling.
