In Arknights: Endfield, headhunting rules depend on the banner. Gryphline’s Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor announcement states that a 6-star is guaranteed within 80 attempts and the featured 6-star within 120; Urgent Recruitment is separate and does not affect the Chartered Headhunting rate-up guarantee. Check the current banner’s in-game Details before spending, especially before assuming that guarantees or unused attempts carry over.

How headhunting works

Headhunting recruits operators through banner-specific pools. A banner’s announcement and its in-game Details are the authoritative places to check which operators are eligible, what currency it accepts, and what guarantees apply. The official announcements available here describe selected rules, not a single rulebook covering every banner type.

For the Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor banner, Gryphline says players can use Chartered Headhunting Permits or Oroberyls. Its stated guarantees are a 5-star-or-better operator within 10 attempts, a 6-star within 80 attempts, and the rate-up 6-star within 120 attempts. These are rules for that RE-Factor banner; do not assume they apply unchanged to other recruitment types. Gryphline: Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor Headhunting #1

How many attempts guarantee a 6-star?

On the Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor banner, Gryphline states that a 6-star is guaranteed within 80 headhunting attempts. The featured rate-up 6-star has a separate guarantee within 120 attempts. The announcement does not establish that these thresholds apply to every banner or that attempts transfer between different banner types, so verify the current banner’s Details before planning around a count.

RE-Factor and Urgent Recruitment compared

Recruitment type Pool and currency Stated guarantee Rate-up guarantee relationship Unused attempts
RE-Factor Headhunting The Resplendent Spectrum announcement says this banner accepts Chartered Headhunting Permits or Oroberyls; check its announcement and in-game Details for the specific pool. On Resplendent Spectrum: 5-star-or-better within 10 attempts; 6-star within 80. On Resplendent Spectrum: rate-up 6-star within 120 attempts. The announcement says unused Urgent Recruitment attempts carry forward to future RE-Factor Headhunting banners of the same name. It does not establish general carryover between other banner types.
Urgent Recruitment The release-preview announcement describes a free 10-attempt recruitment; consult its current in-game Details for the eligible pool and any live terms. The free 10-attempt recruitment guarantees a 5-star-or-better operator. An Urgent Recruitment result does not affect the Chartered Headhunting rate-up guarantee. Carryover is stated for unused Urgent Recruitment attempts to future RE-Factor Headhunting banners of the same name, not as a universal rule.

Gryphline says Urgent Recruitment has the same rates as the base Chartered Headhunting banner, but the announcement’s key distinction for planning is that its result does not affect the Chartered rate-up guarantee. Gryphline: Official Release Preview DEV Comm

Does Urgent Recruitment count toward pity?

For the Chartered rate-up guarantee, no: Gryphline specifically says an Urgent Recruitment result does not affect that guarantee. Do not treat this as a statement about every counter or banner. The Resplendent Spectrum announcement separately says unused Urgent Recruitment attempts carry over to future RE-Factor Headhunting banners of the same name; it does not establish broader carryover.

Check the operator pool before pulling

Eligible operators vary by banner. In its Wolf Pearl Chartered Headhunting announcement, Gryphline lists the operators eligible for that specific banner and says a featured rate-up 6-star is removed from the pool of possible Chartered Headhunting operators after three Chartered Headhunting banners. That is a pool rule tied to the stated Chartered banner system, not a guarantee that every operator appears on every banner. Check each announcement and the current in-game banner Details. Special headhunting events can work differently

Some events have their own recruitment format. Gryphline’s Fest of Brilliance announcement describes a special headhunting event that lets players choose one 6-star from a named event pool. This is an example of an event-specific offer, not evidence that the offer is currently available or that its rules carry over to ordinary banners. Gryphline: Fest of Brilliance Special Headhunting

Plan attempts safely

  1. Open the current banner’s Details in the in-game Acquisition Center. Confirm the operator pool, accepted currency, guarantee thresholds, and any stated carryover rules before spending.
  2. Identify the banner type. Apply the 10-, 80-, and 120-attempt thresholds only to the Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor banner for which Gryphline states them.
  3. Keep Urgent Recruitment separate in your count. Its free 10-attempt offer guarantees a 5-star-or-better operator, but its result does not affect the Chartered rate-up guarantee.
  4. Check whether a featured operator remains in the pool. The Wolf Pearl announcement describes removal of a featured rate-up 6-star from the possible Chartered pool after three Chartered banners; verify the current banner’s own pool.
  5. Do not assume a counter transfers. Treat carryover as valid only where the banner’s current Details or official announcement explicitly says so.

The official announcements cited here do not provide a consolidated live drop-rate table or establish every cross-banner pity rule. The current in-game Details are therefore essential for the exact terms of the banner you are considering.
