To drain the water in “Treasure Beneath the Pond,” set up powered Fluid Pumps beside the submerged ruins at Tianjing Courtyard, then connect them by pipe to a Fluid Supply Unit near the pond southeast of the courtyard. When the water is gone, talk to Tianshi Bao, explore the ruins with the Jet Drone, collect three keys, and open the gate to reach the treasure.
Where to find “Treasure Beneath the Pond”
The mission takes place at Tianjing Courtyard in Wuling City, and Tianshi Bao is the NPC associated with it. Guides differ on whether to speak with Bao before or after the drainage objective appears. Check your mission marker and speak with him when the objective is available; if the water is still present, complete the drainage setup first.
How to drain the water
- Place Fluid Pumps. Set pumps along the edge of the submerged ruins in Tianjing Courtyard.
- Place a Fluid Supply Unit. Put it near the pond southeast of the courtyard.
- Connect the equipment with water pipes. Route pipes from the pumps to the supply unit. If the route exceeds the pipe length limit, a Pipe Converger can extend the pipeline.
- Provide power. Connect the facilities to your AIC power network using Xiranite Relays and Pylons as needed. Make sure the pumps and supply unit are powered.
- Wait for the drainage objective to finish. Published guides disagree on how long the process takes, so use the in-game objective rather than relying on a fixed time estimate.
Explore the ruins and open the gate
Once the courtyard is drained, follow the mission marker or Bao’s message into the ruins. The underground section uses the Jet Drone to operate mechanisms and navigate the route.
Work through the mechanisms
- Use the Jet Drone on red, spinning-wheel mechanisms to open doors or move platforms.
- Break crates when they block a route or conceal a key.
- Collect all three keys as you explore.
Unlock the treasure area and leave
Use the three keys on the courtyard mechanisms to open the central gate, then search the treasure area. Continue along the underground route to exit; one guide describes using a zipline on the way out.
