For the Farming Toils mission, head to the Eco-Farm in Valley IV’s Originium Science Park, speak with Vera, then take the nearby path up the mountain and gather five Tartpeppers. To keep growing them, buy seeds from Wellmorin or produce seeds with a Seed-Picking Unit, then craft and place a Tartpepper Plot. A confirmed recipe uses Tartpepper in Meat Stir-Fry, which restores an operator’s HP.
Where to find Tartpeppers in Valley IV
The clearest route is tied to Farming Toils, which takes place at the Eco-Farm in Valley IV’s Originium Science Park. After speaking with Vera, turn around and follow the path up the nearby mountain to collect five Tartpeppers. The mission becomes available after completing the Outpost: Infra-Station exploration mission, according to PowerPyx’s Farming Toils walkthrough, published February 5, 2026.
A separate guide also reports Tartpeppers in areas near Cliffside, including Cliffside Trail and nearby research or eco-zones, and says the crop is part of Valley IV’s wider plant pool. It does not provide a verified map pin or exact coordinates, so use the Eco-Farm mountain path when you need a specific route. Nerd’s Chalk’s Tartpepper guide, updated January 24, 2026, also says wild plants usually return after a daily reset; that reset timing is not confirmed by an official source.
How to get Tartpepper seeds and grow the crop
Once you have a Tartpepper, there are two reported ways to get seeds. PowerPyx says Wellmorin sells Tartpepper Seeds for 2,000 Stock Bills each, or you can make seeds with a Seed-Picking Unit. The guide does not establish which option is more efficient; buying provides a direct route if you have the currency, while the unit supports seed production for cultivation.

- Acquire Tartpepper Seeds from Wellmorin or produce them with a Seed-Picking Unit.
- Open the farm crafting interface and select the Tartpepper Plot under the Planting section.
- Craft and place the plot, then plant the seeds.
The official Endfield item database states that Tartpepper can only be grown with fine cultivation. A January 2026 guide likewise recommends a fine-cultivation plot for reliable growing. Check the current in-game crafting interface for the exact plot recipe and requirements, since those may differ between game versions.

The verified recipe is Meat Stir-Fry: one serving requires eight Tartpeppers and four Fillets. The official Endfield database’s Fillet production-chain entry describes the resulting tactical as restoring an operator’s HP. This is a substantial crop requirement, so growing a supply may be useful if you plan to make the dish repeatedly.
