Where this objective takes place
This is an objective in the main mission Westward into the Vale, in The Broken Lands, Chapter I – Process I. The mission guide places it in The Hub, Valley IV. After reaching Bridge Approach, defeating the Landbreakers and checking the damaged bridge switch, return to the Core AIC Area to supply power to the Electric Nexus near the switch. The mission then asks you to activate the switch.
How to transmit power to the Bridge Approach Electric Nexus
- Check the bridge switch. At Bridge Approach, interact with the damaged switch as directed by the mission. This advances the objective and sends you back toward the Core AIC Area.
- Return to the Core AIC Area. Travel to the hub/PAC power source. If the objective marker vanishes after you travel, track Westward into the Vale again from the Missions menu.
- Start transmission from the power source. Interact with the source and begin routing a cable toward Bridge Approach. Have Relay Towers ready to extend the route.
- Place Relay Towers along the route. When the cable cannot reach farther, place a tower within the displayed connection range of the current powered node. Continue transmission from that tower, repeating as needed.
- Connect the final segment to the Electric Nexus. Route the cable from the last powered node to the Nexus beside the bridge switch. Check that the objective updates once the Nexus receives power.
- Activate the bridge switch. Return to the switch and interact with it to open the way forward.
Relay Tower range and placement
PowerPyx and Nerd’s Chalk report an approximate 80-meter limit for a cable segment. Treat that as a guide-reported estimate, not a guaranteed in-game measurement: terrain, placement, and existing infrastructure can change how many towers your route needs. Follow the connection range shown while placing each segment.
PowerPyx’s route uses two Relay Towers, but that is not a universal requirement. The dependable route is a chain of powered connections: hub/PAC → Relay Tower or Towers → Electric Nexus. Each new segment must start at a powered node and reach the next tower or the Nexus. A separate pylon beside the bridge switch is not described as necessary in that walkthrough.
Rewards: what completing the mission gives
The transmission step does not have a separately listed reward in the reviewed guides. The following rewards are listed for completing the full Westward into the Vale mission, not as a guaranteed payout for this objective alone:
