Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory was released on November 18, 2025. Ubisoft describes it as a free story expansion for owners of Assassin’s Creed Mirage; it is already available on the supported platforms listed in Ubisoft’s launch announcement, with an iOS timing caveat explained below.
What Valley of Memory adds
The story takes place before the main adventure’s finale. Basim hears that his long-lost father may still be alive and travels to AlUla, where the valley is threatened by robbers and his father is missing. Ubisoft describes the setting as ninth-century AlUla.
The expansion adds a region and map, a main quest, assassination targets, side quests, contracts, activities and a variation on the series’ black box missions. Named locations include AlUla’s old town, Musa Ibn Musayr fortress, the Valley of the Stones and the Hegra necropolis. Players can also find music sheets through parkour challenges and play the oud at certain locations.
Ubisoft’s October 6, 2025 launch announcement estimated “up to six hours of additional gameplay and story.” A November 5 overview described “more than six hours of new content.” These are the publisher’s estimates, not independently measured playtimes.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Changes to the main game
The update also adds options and improvements for the main adventure in Baghdad:
- Replayable missions: Black box missions and contracts can be replayed after completion with constraints, such as avoiding Eagle Vision, killing only the main target or staying undetected. Challenges can reward in-game items.
- Parkour controls: Players can toggle manual jumping, called “Free Jump,” select an optional Modern control scheme, and set side and back ejects to Safe or Free. Free mode permits ejects even without a clear landing spot or handhold.
- Tools and skills: Engineer 2 lets players equip all level 1 tool enhancements, and each tool receives a level 3 modification. Ubisoft lists options including explosive throwing knives, corrosive smoke bombs, armor-piercing blowdarts, sleep-inducing noisemakers and berserk-inducing traps.
- Difficulty: Hardened Assassin and Ultimate Assassin add two presets, bringing the total to five. Ubisoft also describes customizable difficulty and a permadeath mode.
How to start the expansion
Ubisoft’s access guide gives different entry points depending on the save. For a new or returning playthrough, the relevant point is the “The Head of the Snake” mission and the Harbiyah Bureau, where a boy directs Basim to Dervis’s shop. A New Game+ player can access the quest after the Caravanserai, when reporting to Roshan at the bureau.
