The Fate of Atlantis is a three-episode story expansion for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It takes Alexios or Kassandra through Fields of Elysium, the Underworld in Torment of Hades, and finally Atlantis. To start the main-story route, you need the required quest progress; Ubisoft also offered a level-52 shortcut, but that run does not carry progress into the main campaign or earn achievements.
What is included in The Fate of Atlantis?
The expansion is a three-part story arc that uses Greek mythology and the Isu—the First Civilization in Assassin’s Creed lore—to explore the afterlife, the Underworld, and Atlantis. Ubisoft announced the episodes in this order: Fields of Elysium, Torment of Hades, and Judgment of Atlantis. The first episode was announced for April 23, 2019, and the second for June 4, 2019. Ubisoft’s launch announcement identifies Xbox One, PS4, and PC as platforms; that historical list does not confirm current availability on every platform or in every region. How do you start Fate of Atlantis?
For the standard route into Fields of Elysium, Ubisoft’s 2019 instructions were for players above level 28 who owned the expansion—separately or through the Season Pass—to complete both the Between Two Worlds questline and Heir of Memories, a free Lost Tales of Greece quest. The arc’s episodes are designed to be played in sequence, so Fields of Elysium comes before Torment of Hades and Judgment of Atlantis. See Ubisoft’s Fields of Elysium start instructions.

Torment of Hades has its own stated requirements: level 28, completion of Fields of Elysium, and completion of both Between Two Worlds and Heir of Memories, according to Ubisoft’s June 3, 2019 episode announcement. These are the published launch-era requirements; current in-game prompts or storefront entitlements may vary with platform and edition.

Ubisoft’s shortcut details are in its Fields of Elysium instructions and Torment of Hades instructions. Choose the shortcut if you want to jump directly into the expansion and accept a separate, non-transferable run; use the standard route if keeping the adventure on your main campaign save matters.

Do you need the Season Pass, or can you buy the expansion separately?
Ubisoft’s historical announcements described two routes: access through the Season Pass or a separate purchase of The Fate of Atlantis. A 2018 post-launch overview also described access through the Season Pass, Gold, or special editions for the game’s two major story arcs, while identifying Lost Tales of Greece as free. Those posts document the plans and terms at the time; they do not verify what a particular current edition includes, or current price and availability. Check the entitlement shown by the storefront for your platform and region before buying.
Ubisoft’s US Store page is specifically a PC digital listing. It gives April 23, 2019 as the PC digital release date and says play requires a Ubisoft account and the Ubisoft Connect application.
