The strongest League of Legends Easter eggs in Arcane Season 2 are the Janna temple, the return of “Get Jinxed,” and the finale’s “Dear Friend Across the River” reprise. They stand out because they connect the show’s world and characters to League in ways viewers can recognize without mistaking every story beat for game canon. This is an editorial ranking based on official confirmation, how readily each detail can be spotted, and what it adds to Arcane—not an official Riot or Netflix list.
What League of Legends Easter eggs are in Arcane Season 2?
Arcane adapts and expands the League of Legends universe, with Powder/Jinx and Vi at its center. Netflix describes Season 2 as the conclusion of Arcane’s story. That makes its game references more than a checklist for players: they also give viewers who arrived through the show a way into Runeterra’s larger lore. Netflix’s making-of guide and champion guide confirm the key connections below.
- Janna’s undercity sanctuary: a named piece of League lore becomes a place in Zaun, making this the most substantial world-building reference.
- “Get Jinxed” in the Sevika fight: a familiar Jinx-associated song returns as an audible link to her League-era identity.
- “Dear Friend Across the River” in the finale: a musical bookend that brings the sisters’ story back to its beginning.
- Warwick’s wolf aspect: the show’s design evokes the champion’s animal side without making the two versions identical.

1. Janna’s sanctuary turns League lore into a lived place
In Episode 3, Jinx sets a trap for Vi among the ruins of a temple dedicated to Janna, an ancient spirit. Netflix’s Season 2 making-of guide identifies the sanctuary and its dedication. It is the ranking’s strongest reference because Janna is not just mentioned: her presence is built into the undercity’s physical history.

The temple also invites a thematic reading. A sanctuary to a protective spirit in Zaun can suggest how people in the undercity remember care and protection amid hardship; it may also echo the stories Vander told the sisters. That is an interpretation of the scene’s resonance, rather than a separately confirmed explanation of the temple’s meaning.
2. “Get Jinxed” returns during the Sevika fight
Listen for Djerv’s “Get Jinxed” during the Episode 2 fight between Jinx and Sevika. Netflix’s soundtrack feature calls it a familiar tune and notes that co-creator Christian Linke wrote the song in 2013. Netflix’s making-of coverage also traces the Riot and Fortiche collaboration to the 2012 “Get Jinxed” video.
For League players, the song is a direct audio bridge to Jinx’s earlier character identity. For viewers who do not know that history, it still works in the fight as a burst of musical personality; the extra reference is a reward, not a requirement for understanding the scene.

3. The finale returns to Powder’s first song
“Dear Friend Across the River” connects the series’ beginning and ending. Netflix reports that young Powder hums the song near the start of Arcane, and Vi hums it again in the final moments. The reprise gives the sisters’ story a quiet musical bookend, grounded in what the show has already established between them.

This is best understood as a callback within Arcane, rather than a game-mechanic reference. Its place in a League adaptation enriches the wider world, but the emotional connection is to the series itself.
4. Warwick’s design brings his wolf aspect to the screen
Netflix’s production guide says Warwick resembles a werewolf more closely in League, while Arcane’s artists used wild-animal elements to evoke his wolf aspect. That makes the design a clear visual translation of a champion trait, especially in the context of Singed’s experiments.

The connection is about visual language, not a guarantee that every detail of Warwick’s Arcane plot matches his League story. The show adapts the character for its own narrative.
5. The Black Rose becomes a threat around Mel
In Episode 8, Mel encounters a Black Rose sorceress, and her appearance changes afterward in connection with newly discovered mage magic. Netflix’s production guide presents the encounter as a consequential reveal, bringing the Black Rose from League lore into the season’s immediate conflict.

6. Ekko’s finale look foreshadows his champion design
Netflix describes Ekko as not yet the champion seen in League, while calling his Season 2 finale look a send-up of who he later becomes. The outfit is therefore a visual foreshadowing—a design nod that rewards recognition without claiming that Ekko has fully reached the game version or acquired its mechanics.
Who is Janna in Arcane?
Janna is an ancient spirit associated with the temple whose ruins appear in the undercity. Arcane uses that location to make a League connection part of Zaun’s environment. The show’s use of a sanctuary can support readings about protection and memory, but those broader themes should be understood as interpretation rather than a confirmed statement of intent.
Is Warwick in Arcane?
Yes. Netflix’s champion and production guides connect Warwick to the show and explain how the artists evoke his wolf aspect. The adaptation’s visual cues support the champion connection, but they do not establish that every plot event is the same across Arcane and League.
What was that song in the Sevika fight?
It was Djerv’s “Get Jinxed,” heard during the Episode 2 fight with Sevika. Netflix identifies it as a familiar tune and connects it to Jinx’s history; Linke wrote the song in 2013.
How to separate on-screen Easter eggs from game promotions
Riot also promoted Arcane through its games, but those activations are separate from references embedded in the episodes. In a November 9, 2024 update, Riot listed Ambessa, an Arcane-themed Bridge of Progress ARAM map for patches 14.22–14.24, and a Jinx in-client minigame that rewarded an exclusive Singed skin. The patch window is historical, so that announcement does not establish current availability.
