Set in late Sengoku-era Japan, Assassin’s Creed Shadows follows two protagonists: Naoe, a shinobi Assassin from Iga Province, and Yasuke, an African samurai. Ubisoft presents Naoe’s play around stealth, infiltration and tools, while Yasuke is the more combat-focused character. The official page also describes a changing open world shaped by weather and seasons.
Are there different editions or physical extras?
Ubisoft’s current page advertises a Premium Edition that includes the Claws of Awaji expansion, which Ubisoft describes as offering “over 10 hours of adventure.” That is the publisher’s content estimate, not an independently measured playtime. The page also advertises a Collector’s Edition with additional digital content, a dual-character statue and other physical items.
