Assassin’s Creed Shadows Title Update 1.0.2 was announced on April 7, 2025, with deployment scheduled for April 8 at 14:00 UTC (10:00 EDT / 07:00 PT). Ubisoft called it the game’s first major patch. It adds horse auto-follow, faster city riding, Mastery Node resets and bulk item management, alongside a wide range of gameplay, quest, stability and platform-specific fixes. What’s in the AC Shadows 1.0.2 update?
The update combines quality-of-life and gameplay changes with bug fixes across quests, combat, progression, visuals, menus and platform support. Ubisoft’s headline changes include:

- Horse travel: Road auto-follow returned through the pathfinder, and horses became faster in cities.
- Build experimentation: Players can reset Mastery Nodes for both Naoe and Yasuke.
- Inventory cleanup: At shops, players can tag and sell or dismantle multiple items. At the Hideout Forge, they can dismantle multiple pieces of gear.
- Investigation Board shortcut: Holding OPTION & START for a few seconds opens the Investigation Board; a single press opens inventory, according to Ubisoft’s general notes. Menu controls may differ by platform.
- Hideout performance: Ubisoft says it uncapped the Hideout above 30 FPS on Performance mode.
- Gameplay adjustments: The patch improves boss-fight balancing, Double Assassinations and Naoe’s responsiveness in some cases.
Ubisoft described the riding change this way: “Auto-Follow the road is back to help you navigate while riding your horse.”

How big is the AC Shadows 1.0.2 update on each platform?

How do you enable PSSR after the update on PS5 Pro?
Title Update 1.0.2 adds PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) support. If you played Assassin’s Creed Shadows before installing the update, Ubisoft says you must enable PSSR manually in the pause menu’s Video tab. Balanced mode also gains Raytraced Specular; Ubisoft says this brings its visual fidelity closer to PS5 Pro Quality mode than Performance mode.
Can you reset Mastery Nodes in AC Shadows?
Yes. Update 1.0.2 adds the option to reset Mastery Nodes in the skill trees for both Naoe and Yasuke, letting you redistribute nodes to try different playstyles and skills.
