Ubisoft’s March 5, 2026 Patch 1.6 update adds a 60 FPS console experience for Assassin’s Creed Unity on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The resolution depends on the console: PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X are listed at 4K/60 FPS, while Xbox Series S is listed at 1080p/60 FPS.
Which consoles get 60 FPS in Assassin’s Creed Unity?
Ubisoft’s Patch 1.6 notes, published March 5, 2026, specify the following console targets:

Ubisoft News separately announced the update on March 6, 2026, describing 60 FPS availability on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and a 4K update on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The announcement does not give the same model-by-model detail as the Patch 1.6 notes, so the table uses the patch notes for the PS5 Pro and Series S specifications.
Does Assassin’s Creed Unity run at 60 FPS on PS5?
Yes. Ubisoft lists both PS5 and PS5 Pro at 4K resolution and 60 FPS in its Patch 1.6 notes. This describes Ubisoft’s published target; the update materials do not provide frame-time measurements or a testing methodology.

Does Assassin’s Creed Unity run at 60 FPS on Xbox Series S?
Yes. Ubisoft lists Xbox Series S at 1080p and 60 FPS. The Series X target is different: Ubisoft lists it at 4K and 60 FPS.
How large is the Assassin’s Creed Unity update?
Ubisoft lists an approximate download size of 38.2 GB for Xbox and 6.05 GB for PlayStation. Its Patch 1.6 notes do not explain why the listed platform sizes differ.

Does the update apply to PS4, Xbox One or PC?
The 60 FPS console update is identified for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Ubisoft also lists the original game for PS4, Xbox One and PC through Ubisoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store, and says Ubisoft+ Classics or Premium subscribers can play it. Those access routes should not be mistaken for confirmation that PS4 or Xbox One received the new 60 FPS console mode.
Ubisoft News also mentions PC access through Ubisoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store, but its platform wording does not specify a PC frame-rate target. The published console specifications above are the model-specific figures in Ubisoft’s Patch 1.6 notes.
