Assetto Corsa EVO launched in Steam Early Access on January 16, 2025. A confirmed date for the complete version 1.0 release has not been announced in the official sources reviewed through September 30, 2026. The game remains in Early Access, so “when does Assetto Corsa EVO come out?” has two different answers: it is already playable, while its final release date is still unknown.
What is the confirmed Assetto Corsa EVO release date?
The confirmed launch date is January 16, 2025, when Assetto Corsa EVO entered Early Access on Steam. The date appears in the Steam store listing and the official launch announcement.
KUNOS Simulazioni develops the game and 505 Games publishes it. This date is an Early Access release, not the finished 1.0 launch.
When is the full 1.0 release?
No specific full-release date is confirmed in the official material reviewed. The official product page describes version 1.0 as the point at which the Early Access program ends, but it does not provide a calendar date: Assetto Corsa EVO official page.
#1 Best Overall
- As with its predecessor, Assetto Corsa EVO will include cars from different classes spanning across years of motoring history. From road cars, classics, hypercars, and race cars. The most iconic representation of the automotive and motorsport world. Each vehicle is reproduced through Kunos in-house physics and graphic engine simulating mechanical, electronic, and aerodynamic performance, combined with the fidelity of the circuits created using Laserscan technology
- In Early Access 1 you will be able to experience a range of vehicles, tracks and game modes that will evolve on the road to our full 1.0 launch.
An April 8, 2025 development update said the roadmap would be revised and shared later, without setting a 1.0 date: official development update. Older roadmap expectations should therefore not be treated as current commitments. The launch announcement also warns that content, features and schedules can change.
Latest confirmed development status
The game was still in Early Access in the latest official updates available by September 30, 2026.

| Date | Milestone | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| January 16, 2025 | Steam Early Access launch | Public play began on Steam. |
| April 8, 2025 | Development-direction update | Modding tools were moved into the Early Access period; no 1.0 date was given. |
| August 26, 2026 | Version 0.9 announcement | Added cars, online hotlap and hotstint leaderboards, and physics, handling and tyre-model work. The team explicitly said this update would not end Early Access: official Steam announcement. |
| September 1, 2026 | Version 0.9.1 | Included TrackIR support and fixes, according to the official Steam announcement list. |
| September 30, 2026 | Current official status reviewed | The official site still labels Assetto Corsa EVO as Early Access and shows version 0.9 as the latest major update visible there: official EVO page. |
Why version 0.9 is not the final release
Update 0.9 may look like a near-final milestone, but the development team explicitly stated that “Update 0.9 will not mark the final release of the Early Access Program.” Free Roam was also still planned for the Early Access period. That means the version number is not a 1.0 schedule signal.
What you can play now
Assetto Corsa EVO is available as a digital Early Access title on Steam. The official feature page says it supports DirectInput devices, including controllers, wheels and pedals: official compatibility information.

- A controller is a supported input option.
- A PC sim-racing wheel and pedal set is optional, not a stated requirement.
- The official page links a wheel setup guide, but no particular wheel model is verified or recommended here.
How to interpret future release announcements
Only an announcement that names the end of Early Access or version 1.0 should be treated as a full-release confirmation. A numbered update, new car pack, feature announcement or roadmap revision is not itself a 1.0 date.
For the most reliable changes, check the official Steam announcement feed and the official Assetto Corsa EVO page. Until those sources publish a date, any claimed year, season or month remains unconfirmed.
