When did Winter Wonder come out?
Team Asobi studio director Nicolas Doucet announced Winter Wonder on December 11, 2024, and set its release for December 12 at 8:00 p.m. PT. That date has passed; the announcement gives the scheduled release time, not confirmation of current availability.

Is the Winter Wonder update free?
Yes. Team Asobi described Winter Wonder as free additional content for Astro Bot. It is a level update, not a separately priced expansion. Players need the game itself: PlayStation lists Astro Bot for PS5.
How do you unlock Winter Wonder?
The announcement says the level appears after you have completed Astro Bot. It also lists an internet connection and the game as requirements. Team Asobi did not describe any further unlock steps.

What was announced for the level?
Team Asobi described Winter Wonder as a festive, relatively relaxed level featuring shiny presents, jingle bells, and new special bots to add to the crew. Doucet said it was designed for children and adults, rather than as a punishing challenge: “This winter update was made with every user in mind, meaning it is a celebration enjoyable for children and adults alike.” These are the studio’s descriptions ahead of release.
