The ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE is a wired 75% gaming keyboard with hot-swappable magnetic switches, adjustable actuation and an ASUS-rated 8000 Hz polling rate. Its compact layout keeps the function row and arrow keys, but it is not wireless—and ASUS’s magnetic switches are not universally interchangeable with other Hall-effect switch families.
What the Falchion Ace 75 HE offers
ASUS announced the keyboard at CES 2026 with a 75% layout, ROG HFX V2 or V2X magnetic switches, a ROG Hall Sensor, per-key RGB, an adjustment wheel and a touch panel. ASUS also lists six-layer dampening, Doubleshot PBT keycaps and a protective carry case as part of the design. The 75% format saves desk space compared with a full-size keyboard while retaining the function row and arrow keys.
Regional ASUS specifications list 83 or 84 keys, N-key rollover, Windows 11 support and Gear Link software. They also list five customizable profiles plus one standard profile, dimensions of 320 × 145 × 35 mm and a weight of 870 g without the cable. Package contents in that specification include a protective bag and keycap puller; check the local SKU, since regional specifications and box contents may differ. Can you change the actuation point?
Yes. ASUS specifies an adjustable actuation range from 0.1 mm to 3.5 mm, with 0.01 mm tuning increments. A shorter actuation point lets a key register with less travel; a deeper setting requires more movement before the press registers. That gives players room to tune key response to preference or game, rather than using one fixed actuation point.

#1 Best Overall
- Hot-swappable ROG HFX V2 Magnetic Switches: Enjoy refined keystrokes with customizable 0.1–3.5mm actuation and precise 0.01mm-step fine-tuning
- New ROG Hall Sensor: Delivers exceptional precision and accurate input detection, reduces electrical noise and interference, and increases magnetic flux limits for superior performance
- Intuitive Control: Onboard adjustment wheel to fine-tune actuation point and Rapid Trigger sensitivity; plus interactive touch panel for media playback, tweak volume and other settings.
- Protective Keyboard Carry Case: Keeps the keyboard and essential accessories secure and travel-ready.
- Rapid Trigger toggle: Convenient switch for the fastest typing response and key repeat
The switches are hot-swappable, but that does not mean every magnetic switch will work. ASUS says its ROG switches use side-positioned magnets and warns that switches designed around a central magnet are incompatible. The supported family is limited, so confirm compatibility with ASUS before buying replacement switches.
What does 8000 Hz polling mean?
ASUS rates the keyboard’s polling rate at 8000 Hz. In ASUS’s explanation, the theoretical interval is 0.125 ms: that is how often the computer requests keyboard data at that rate. It is not a guarantee that a key press reaches a game in 0.125 ms. ASUS notes that total delay also depends on switch travel and device processing speed, among other parts of the input path. Polling rate describes one part of the connection between keyboard and computer; it does not by itself establish an equivalent improvement in a player’s reaction time or prove that the keyboard will feel faster to every user.
Is the Falchion Ace 75 HE wireless?
No. ASUS lists wired connectivity, with a detachable braided USB-A-to-USB-C cable in the regional specifications. The wired connection avoids relying on a battery, but shoppers who want to use a keyboard without a cable should compare wireless alternatives instead.

How do its physical controls work?
The adjustment wheel, Rapid Trigger toggle and touch panel provide ways to change settings directly on the keyboard. Rapid Trigger changes how a key resets as it moves, which can be useful to players who want rapid repeated inputs. ASUS includes the feature among the keyboard’s controls; exact setup and behavior depend on the configured setting.
Tom’s Hardware’s CES 2026 hands-on praised the smooth feel and limited wobble of the HFX V2 switches, and liked being able to adjust actuation and Rapid Trigger with physical controls. The reviewer found the touch control at the back awkward to reach and not especially intuitive. This was short hands-on use around CES, not an extended test. Tom’s Hardware’s CES hands-on

Price and availability depend on market
ASUS Computer GmbH’s February 3, 2026 announcement listed the keyboard as available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland at a recommended price of EUR/CHF 239.90 including VAT. That is a dated price for those markets, not a universal or necessarily current price. The same release said a white version would follow in Q2 but did not specify the year. Review-era US and UK pricing is not a current-price check: PC Gamer listed $220 and £220, while Tom’s Hardware reported ASUS’s CES launch-context statement that black and white versions would be available for $219 at Best Buy starting in January. These figures refer to different markets and reporting contexts, so they should not be treated as one global price. Check local retailers for current price, stock and color availability. What to compare before buying
The Falchion Ace 75 HE makes most sense for someone who wants adjustable magnetic switches and a compact layout with direct controls, and is comfortable with a wired connection and ASUS’s switch ecosystem. Compare it with alternatives on the details that affect daily use:
- Layout: The Falchion’s 75% format keeps arrow keys and the function row. The Keychron Q5 HE is a larger-layout alternative; the NuPhy Air60 HE is smaller and uses low-profile switches.
- Connection: The Falchion is wired. PC Gamer also points to the wireless Keychron K2 HE as an alternative for shoppers who prioritize a cable-free setup.
- Switch compatibility: Confirm the supported magnetic switch family and actuation range before choosing a keyboard for future switch swaps.
- Controls and ergonomics: Consider whether you prefer on-keyboard adjustment controls, and whether the touch panel’s rear position works for your setup. Switch feel and sound are personal, so use attributed hands-on reports as context rather than a substitute for trying a keyboard where possible.
- Local price and availability: Compare live offers in your market; launch and review prices can go stale, and availability can vary by color and region.
