Asus TUF Gaming GT502 Horizon: A Mid-Tower Case With Panoramic Views

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The ASUS TUF Gaming GT502 Horizon is a mid-tower ATX case built around a dual-chamber layout and front-and-left tempered-glass panels. It is a sensible candidate for a showcase gaming PC if your parts stay within ASUS’s published clearances and you are comfortable treating cooling, noise and build convenience as unverified until independent testing is available.

What the GT502 Horizon is designed to do

ASUS markets the Horizon around a “seamless view unobstructed by a front pillar.” The front and left sides use tempered glass, while the internal layout separates the main component area from a rear chamber for power, cabling and selected storage or cooling hardware. These are manufacturer descriptions; they do not establish a measured visibility, airflow or build-quality advantage over another case.

ASUS also advertises support for up to 13 fans. That is a mounting and specification claim, not a recommendation that every build use 13 fans. Your radiator, graphics card, motherboard and cable arrangement determine which positions are practical.

Will your components fit?

Use the following figures as case limits, then compare them with the exact dimensions of your parts. Leave room for power connectors, radiator thickness, fan frames and cable bends rather than treating a component’s headline length as the only measurement that matters.

#1 Best Overall
ASUS TUF Gaming GT502 ATX Mid Tower Gaming PC Case
  • Dual-Chamber Design: GT502 internals are divided into two chambers- the main chamber and rear chamber, allowing you to build clean and configure independent cooling zones for the CPU and GPU
  • Versatile Graphic Card Mounting Options: Stand your graphics card up proud with an included vertical mount or slot it directly into the motherboard and banish sag with a bundled support bracket
  • Tool-free Side Panels: Side panels can be removed simply by pressing a button hidden on the rear of the chassis
  • Panoramic View with Tempered Glass: Tempered glass panels at the front and side provide a tactfully tinted view of the main chamber.
  • Front Panel High-speed connectivity: USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 2X USB 3.0, and RGB button

Graphics card Up to 400 mm Check the card length, power-plug position and whether a front radiator or fan reduces usable space.
CPU cooler Up to 163 mm high Measure the complete cooler, including any top protrusion or offset fan.
Power supply Up to 200 mm long Modular plugs and cable room can require more space than the PSU body alone.
Case size and mass 285 × 450 × 446 mm; 11 kg These figures come from ASUS Philippines; dimensions or listed weight may vary by regional listing.

Graphics-card orientation

The case includes a vertical graphics-card mount and a support bracket for horizontal installation. ASUS does not include the PCIe extension cable required for a vertical arrangement, so budget for a compatible cable and verify its length and generation before committing to that layout.

Radiators, fans and storage

Radiator and fan positions

Location Radiator support Fan mounting listed by ASUS
Top Up to 360 mm Up to three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans
Side Not stated as a radiator position in the specification Up to three 120 mm fans
Rear 120 mm One 120 mm fan

Radiator compatibility still depends on the radiator’s thickness, fan choice, motherboard heatsinks, memory height and graphics-card position. A listed 360 mm position does not guarantee clearance for every 360 mm radiator-and-fan combination.

Storage capacity

ASUS lists four 2.5-inch/3.5-inch combination bays. A 360 mm hybrid-function bracket in the rear chamber can hold either a radiator or up to three storage devices. Decide which function you need before routing cables, because using the bracket for cooling changes the available drive arrangement.

What is included—and what is optional?

  • The case includes the vertical GPU mounting hardware and a support bracket for horizontal GPU installation.
  • The PCIe extension cable for vertical mounting is not included.
  • The TUF Gaming ARGB Lighting Kit for GT502 Horizon Series is sold separately and uses a 3-pin ARGB connector. Confirm the exact kit and regional compatibility before buying.
  • Fans, radiators, drives and other expansion accessories are not specified as included by the reviewed product information.

Front connectivity and moving the chassis

ASUS lists one front USB-C port with a stated transfer rate of up to 20 Gbps, two USB-A ports and a combined headset/microphone connection. The 20 Gbps figure is ASUS’s rating rather than an independent throughput test; actual transfer speeds depend on the device, cable and controller.

Rank #2
ASUS TUF Gaming GT502 Horizon ATX Mid-Tower Gaming PC Case
  • Boundless Panoramic Design: Tempered and tinted glass panels at the front and side offer a fully unobstructed view of the main chamber
  • Dual-Chamber Chassis: GT502 Horizon internals are divided into two chambers, establishing independent cooling zones for the CPU and graphics cards
  • Front Panel High-Speed USB Type-C: The GT502 Horizon front panel features a USB 10 Gbps Type-C port for high-speed data transfer
  • Tool-Free Side Panels: The side panels can be easily removed by simply pressing a button hidden on the rear of the chassis
  • Fully Modular Design: Most of the panels and mounting components are detachable to streamline hardware installation

Two detachable woven straps are rated by ASUS to support up to 30 kg (66 lb), and the product page also describes the top as rated for up to 30 kg. Those are manufacturer load ratings. Remove or secure loose components before moving a completed system, and use the straps as carrying aids rather than proof that every filled configuration is safe to lift in the same way.

Build-planning checklist

  1. Choose the motherboard format and confirm the board’s own heatsink, memory and connector clearances.
  2. Measure the graphics card, including its power connectors, and check that a planned radiator or front-side hardware will not reduce the 400 mm case allowance.
  3. Compare the CPU cooler’s full height with the 163 mm limit, including fan clips and decorative covers.
  4. Measure the PSU body and reserve space for modular cables within the 200 mm allowance.
  5. Select a top or rear radiator only after checking thickness and motherboard interference; the specification lists support up to 360 mm at the top and 120 mm at the rear.
  6. Choose horizontal or vertical GPU mounting. If vertical, add a suitable PCIe extension cable because it is not supplied.
  7. Allocate the four combination bays and decide whether the rear hybrid bracket will carry a radiator or up to three drives.
  8. Plan fan directions and cable paths for the hardware actually installed instead of assuming the advertised 13-fan maximum is necessary.

Who should consider it?

A good match

The Horizon fits builders who want a glass-forward display, an ATX-compatible platform and separate space for power and cabling. Its published clearances accommodate many full-size gaming components, provided connector and cooling allowances are checked at the same time.

Reasons to pause

It may be a poor fit if you need a supplied vertical-GPU cable, require a confirmed quiet or low-temperature result, or want a case whose value has been established by independent comparative testing. The available product information does not provide third-party thermal, acoustic or build-experience measurements.

Regional availability and model verification

Listings can differ by region or SKU, including dimensions, included items and availability. When shopping, confirm that the listing says GT502 Horizon, not the earlier GT502 or a GT502 Horizon ARGB variant, and check the local specification page before ordering. No current universal price or stock status is established here.
