No—ASUS is not currently offering a free ROG Ally with PCs under the promotion described here. ASUS announced a Canada-only deal for December 6–19, 2024: buyers of eligible ASUS or ROG laptops and desktops priced at CA$1,499 or more could receive a ROG Ally while supplies lasted. That offer has expired.
What the ASUS offer included
ASUS’s December 6, 2024 announcement described a complimentary ROG Ally powered by Ryzen Z1 Extreme with a qualifying computer purchase. ASUS listed 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory, 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, a UHS-II microSD slot, Wi-Fi 6E and a 120 Hz Full HD touchscreen. The ROG Ally (2023) product page identifies it as a Windows 11 gaming handheld.

- Qualifying purchase: An ASUS or ROG laptop or desktop priced at CA$1,499 or more.
- Promotional value: ASUS stated the Ally’s value as CA$899 in the 2024 announcement. That was the promotion’s stated value, not a verified current market price.
- Dates: December 6 through December 19, 2024, or while supplies lasted.
- Where: ASUS named the ASUS Store, Best Buy, Canada Computers, Costco, Memory Express and selected retailers in Canada.
Who could claim it—and what were the conditions?
The promotion was limited to Canada, and the qualifying computer had to meet ASUS’s price threshold. Retailer eligibility requirements could differ; ASUS noted that Best Buy had a predefined list of eligible products. The offer could not be combined with other offers and was subject to available stock.

No renewed Ally bundle is established by ASUS’s separate Gamescom 2026 announcement. It describes a global “Upgrade What Matters” campaign running August 25 through December 31, 2026, with giveaways, creator collaborations and content about PC configurations; it does not announce a free ROG Ally with a PC purchase. That announcement does not rule out a separate later offer from an individual retailer, but it is not evidence that this bundle has returned.
