Attack on Titan Revolution family tier list
There is no single definitive ranking: the guides differ in tier labels, and a tier does not tell you which family best matches your preferred playstyle.

| Family | Guide ranking and described role | Reported bonuses or skills |
|---|---|---|
| Fritz | Pro Game Guides ranked it S+ in its Update 4 list dated April 29, 2026; Pocket Gamer placed it in S tier on October 6, 2026. Both guides position it for Titan-shifting. | Pro Game Guides reports +20% Shifter Stats, +15% Critical Chance and Damage, and +10% Damage in Raids. These are guide-reported game values, not independently verified statistics. Pro Game Guides |
| Helos | Pro Game Guides ranked it S+; Pocket Gamer ranked it S. Both describe it as an ODM-oriented or non-shifter option. | Specific bonuses are not stated in the cited guide material. Pro Game Guides |
| Ackerman | Pro Game Guides ranked it S; Pocket Gamer ranked it S. Both associate it with ODM combat, and Pro Game Guides specifically describes a blade-focused non-shifter. | Pocket Gamer reports +20% damage, +15% critical chance, and +15% critical damage, and describes the skills “Let it RIP” and “Swift Strikes.” These are guide-reported values and skill descriptions. Pocket Gamer |
| Reiss | Pro Game Guides and Pocket Gamer both place it in S; Pocket Gamer describes party XP and Gold bonuses. | Specific bonus values are not stated in the cited guide material. Pocket Gamer |
| Yeager | Pro Game Guides ranked it S; Pocket Gamer ranked it S. Pocket Gamer describes shifting and regeneration skills. | Specific bonus values are not stated in the cited guide material. Pocket Gamer |
The lists are not identical. For example, Pro Game Guides places Fritz and Helos at S+, while Pocket Gamer groups them in S with several other families. Pocket Gamer’s October 6, 2026 list says it covers 28 playable families and excludes Shiki as currently unobtainable; Pro Game Guides’ April 29, 2026 list ranks Shiki S+. Those are conflicting third-party claims, not settled official availability information. Pocket Gamer · Pro Game Guides
Which family should you pick?
Choose Fritz for Titan-shifting
Fritz is the clearest pick if shifting is central to your build: both reviewed guides identify it as a strong shifter family, and Pro Game Guides reports bonuses to Shifter Stats, critical performance, and raid damage. Treat those modifiers as that guide’s description rather than independently confirmed current values.

#1 Best Overall
- Battle through the gripping narrative of Season 1 and 2 of the anime from a new perspective! Players can also enjoy original stories supervised by series creator Hajime Isayama.
- Besides playable characters over 40, players can also create your very own character by "Character Editor". Battle through the story from a new perspective.
- Experience up to Season 3 story of TV anime! Experience the story from the same viewpoint as the character highlighted in the original.
Choose Helos for ODM-focused play
Helos is presented by both guides as an ODM-oriented, non-shifter choice. The available guide descriptions support that role, but do not establish a specific bonus comparison against Ackerman.
Choose Ackerman for blade-focused ODM combat
Ackerman is the more explicit fit if you want a non-shifter built around blades. Pocket Gamer reports damage and critical bonuses, plus “Let it RIP” and “Swift Strikes.” Consider those reported benefits alongside the playstyle you actually want, rather than choosing solely from its tier label.
Rank #2
- Vertical board allows players to climb the Titan to victory
- Several different Titans to battle
- One vs. Many Gameplay
- Play as your favorite character versus the Titan, or play as the Titan yourself!
- Designed by Antoine Bauza and Ludovic Maublanc
Consider Reiss for party progression
Pocket Gamer describes Reiss as offering party XP and Gold bonuses. That makes it a candidate when group progression matters more than maximizing your personal combat bonuses; the cited material does not specify the size of those bonuses.
Consider Yeager for shifting and regeneration
Pocket Gamer describes Yeager’s skills as supporting shifting and regeneration. Compare that utility with the more specifically reported Fritz shifter bonuses if you are deciding between the two.

How to weigh tier, rarity, and bonuses
- Start with your build. Decide whether you want Titan-shifting or ODM combat before comparing families.
- Compare the actual benefit. For combat, look at damage, critical chance, and critical damage; for survivability, consider skills and regeneration; for group progression, weigh party XP and Gold bonuses against personal combat benefits.
- Do not equate rarity with strength. Pocket Gamer cautions that rarity does not always match its ranking. A rare family is not automatically the best fit for your build.
- Read tiers as editorial judgments. The two guides use different tier placements, and neither is primary game documentation or a controlled performance test.
Spins, guarantees, and what to verify
Both guides say families are obtained through Spins and report a 400-spin guarantee, but describe the guarantee differently. Pocket Gamer says an Epic-or-Legendary family is guaranteed after 400 spins; Pro Game Guides says at least Epic rarity is guaranteed after 400 spins. Pro Game Guides also reports a 0.025% Mythical spin rate. These are dated guide claims, not officially confirmed mechanics, and the available information does not establish whether the rate or guarantee is unchanged in the live game. The reviewed guides do not provide primary confirmation of the current roster, Shiki’s availability, exact rarity rates, or pity rules.
