Its soundtrack and visual tribute are the main attractions; its story is limited, and the higher difficulties may challenge newcomers. This guide draws on official store descriptions, storefront user-rating snapshots, and a digest of selected critic reviews—not hands-on testing.
What kind of game is AVICII Invector?
Developed by Hello There Games, AVICII Invector is a rhythm-action game built around playing through Avicii’s music. The Steam listing describes hitting beats and following vocal melodies across six worlds, with three difficulty levels, solo play, and local split-screen for up to four players. Its base-game description lists 25 tracks, including “Wake Me Up,” “Without You,” and “Lay Me Down.” Steam’s game listing presents the music as the center of the experience, rather than a soundtrack attached to a story-led adventure.
What do the AVICII Invector reviews say?
Player ratings
When retrieved on October 7, 2026, Steam showed 97% positive English-language user reviews from 423 reviews. The US PlayStation Store showed an average of 4.51 out of 5 from 1,212 ratings on the same date. These are platform-specific user-feedback snapshots, not critic scores or a controlled comparison between versions; storefront totals and averages can change. Steam and the US PlayStation Store list their respective feedback.
Critic-review themes
A digest of selected reviews on Metacritic highlights the soundtrack, sci-fi visuals, and tribute to Avicii as strengths. It also notes that the story is limited and that higher difficulty levels can be tougher for people new to rhythm games. The digest reflects selected reviews rather than a complete review-by-review analysis, so it is best read as a guide to recurring themes, not a universal verdict. Metacritic’s review page collects the critic-review information.

Is AVICII Invector worth it?
It appears most appealing if you already enjoy Avicii’s music and want to engage with it through timing-based play. The combination of familiar songs, stylized sci-fi environments, and local multiplayer gives the game a clear identity. If you are mainly looking for a substantial narrative, the critic-reported story limitation is worth considering. If you are new to rhythm games, the three difficulty levels offer options, but selected critics note that the upper end may be demanding.
There is not enough evidence here to make a platform-by-platform technical verdict: performance, accessibility details beyond storefront descriptions, and current compatibility were not established. Check the listing for the system you plan to use, and treat aggregate ratings as player feedback rather than a substitute for platform-specific testing.

The TIM Track Pack and Magma Track Pack are also listed as add-ons on Nintendo, PlayStation, and Steam. Their inclusion depends on the edition and platform you buy, so compare track lists and check current availability and compatibility rather than assuming an add-on is bundled.
