Battlefield 6 update 1.1.3.5 focused on combat consistency, ladder behavior, interface fixes and REDSEC stability. EA published the notes on January 16, 2026, and scheduled the update for January 20. It is a historical patch, not the current release: EA’s update index lists the later 1.4.3.5 update, dated September 28, 2026.
What changed in Battlefield 6 update 1.1.3.5?
EA described 1.1.3.5 as “a smaller set of focused improvements aimed at polish and consistency across Battlefield 6.” The most noticeable changes address melee timing, jet damage, ladder interactions, scope reticle options and several Battle Royale and Gauntlet bugs.
Melee attacks and controller input
- Knife attacks are faster, and knife and sledgehammer attack buffering and damage timing are more consistent.
- Sprinting during a melee attack is interrupted only until the attack reaches its target, rather than for the full animation.
- Controller recoil modifiers are more consistent across weapons.
- For Alternate, Lefty Alternate, Southpaw and Legacy Southpaw control presets, bipod mounting now follows the melee button.
Jet combat
Jet cannon damage against other jets and helicopters was reduced. EA says destroying enemy air targets now takes approximately 40% more hits. That figure describes EA’s stated effect of the damage adjustment, not a universal time-to-kill measurement.
Ladders and gadgets
- Fixed failures when entering ladders positioned above the player and unexpected launches during ladder entry; climbing animations were improved.
- Fixed GDPIS destruction behavior involving the XFGM-6D Recon Drone, Defibrillators and Repair Tool.
- Fixed Sniper Decoys failing to hide nearby scope glints.
Weapon, vehicle and Firing Range fixes
- Bipod attachments no longer suggest a hipfire accuracy bonus at all times; according to EA, the bonus applies only while the bipod is deployed.
- Fixed the DB-12 GRIM 1.50x optic costing 15 loadout points instead of its intended 25.
- Fixed RPKM iron sights shooting low with the short barrel and corrected a TR-7 Light Barrel muzzle-velocity issue.
- Fixed a vehicle explosion issue when a takedown targeted an enemy soldier lying on the vehicle.
- Firing Range target dummies can now take damage while getting up.
- Suppressed shots produce a small muzzle flash only when viewed at close range.
Interface, HUD and visual changes
- Added scope reticle colour customization and fixed colour updates for thermal scopes and supported gadgets.
- Fixed a home-screen focus issue that could lock focus to the bulletin, and corrected displayed LMG Reload Time statistics.
- Improved soldier lighting in the front end.
- Reduced the force of explosion shockwaves in particle effects.
REDSEC Battle Royale and Gauntlet fixes
- Corrected inconsistent movement slowdown on landing.
- Fixed an edge case in which the drone could disappear during Gauntlet Data Extraction.
- Fixed intermittent Battle Royale armor-bar disappearance and an incorrect Airburst Incendiary Launcher loot-feed icon.
- Fixed the armor bar disappearing in Gauntlet after quickly editing a loadout.
When was update 1.1.3.5 released?
EA published the patch notes on January 16, 2026, with release scheduled for January 20, 2026. EA’s official Battlefield 6 update index lists update 1.4.3.5 as dated September 28, 2026, so 1.1.3.5 should be treated as an earlier update rather than the latest patch.
