The November 2024 announcement also named February 18 as the planned launch date, but it does not establish the earlier schedule or explain the delay implied by the original headline.

Official launch materials list Avowed for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, with access through Steam, Battle.net, the Xbox app on Windows, cloud gaming, and Game Pass. Obsidian’s game page also lists Windows, Steam, Xbox, and Battle.net. What kind of game is Avowed?
Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG set in Eora, the world of Pillars of Eternity. You play as an envoy investigating a spreading plague in the Living Lands. Obsidian describes its combat as mixing magic, melee, and ranged weapons, and highlights exploration, four skill trees, and companions with individual abilities and stories.
