Avowed launched on Steam and Xbox Game Pass on February 18, 2025. Xbox’s Premium Edition offered up to five days of early access, starting February 13. No official source cited here confirms an exact standard-edition unlock time; a 10 a.m. Pacific estimate reported by PC Gamer was described as likely, not confirmed.
When did Avowed release on Steam and Game Pass?
Avowed’s standard release date was February 18, 2025. Xbox announced the date for Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app for Windows, Battle.net, Steam and cloud, with Game Pass availability on launch day. Xbox Wire’s announcement gave the planned date, and its February 18 launch-day post confirmed the game was available. Steam’s listing also gives February 18, 2025, as the release date (Steam store page); Obsidian lists the same date on its official game page.
What time did Avowed unlock?
The official Xbox and Obsidian pages cited above confirm the date but do not give a clock time for the standard launch. PC Gamer reported that the full launch was likely at 10 a.m. Pacific, based on an assumption from the advance-access timing. Treat that as secondary reporting, not a confirmed universal unlock time: availability could depend on the platform or storefront. PC Gamer’s unlock-time report explains the estimate.
Could you play Avowed early?
Yes. Xbox said Premium Edition buyers could begin playing up to five days early, starting February 13, 2025. The announcement establishes the start date but does not specify an early-access unlock hour. The Premium Edition also included two skin packs and access to a digital artbook and soundtrack. Xbox Wire’s announcement has the edition details.
