AYN announced that Thor preorder Batch 4 and Odin 3 preorder Batch 5 would open on March 1, 2026, with shipping expected to begin in April. That date has passed: by June, the preorder sequence had advanced to Thor Batch 7 and Odin 3 Batch 8. The March announcement is historical, not a current ordering window.
What AYN announced for March 1
Notebookcheck reported on February 27, 2026, that AYN planned to open Thor Batch 4 and Odin 3 Batch 5 on March 1. The report said Thor’s third batch had just begun shipping and attributed the new dates to an AYN announcement on Discord. Read Notebookcheck’s report.

AYN’s reported April 2026 timing was an expected start of shipping, not a guaranteed delivery date for every buyer. The report does not establish when an individual order would arrive.

In June 2026, AYN announced that Thor Batch 7 and Odin 3 Batch 8 were live. GamesRadar reported the update, and a community post reproduced the AYN Team’s announcement. The same June update said orders were expected to begin shipping in August; that was an estimate, not confirmation of delivery for every order. AYN’s official storefront was later indexed with listings labeled “AYN Thor (Batch 7 Pre-order)” from $259 and “AYN Odin 3 (Batch 8 Pre-order)” from $369. Those are prices shown in a result crawled roughly three weeks before October 7, 2026—not verified live prices or proof that those batches remained open on October 7. Check AYN’s official storefront.
How to check the current batch and shipping estimate
Because the batch sequence and storefront status can change, use AYN’s product pages rather than the March date or an older shipping estimate to decide whether to order.

- Open AYN’s official storefront and select the Thor or Odin 3 product page.
- Check the batch label, available configuration, and displayed price on that page before checkout.
- Read the current shipping estimate and any order-specific terms shown by AYN. Treat a stated start-of-shipping estimate as different from a promised arrival date.
Which devices the announcement covered
The date story concerns two different handhelds, not a performance ranking. Notebookcheck identifies Odin 3 as using Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and Thor variants as using either Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. AYN’s June batch announcement also said those later batches continued with UFS 3.1 storage; that detail should not be assumed for the March batches based on the later announcement.
