Recommended Free Tools
Backpack Hero and Figment were free to claim on the Epic Games Store from July 3 through July 10, 2025. That giveaway has ended, so neither game should be assumed to be free now; check Epic’s current listing for the latest weekly offer.
Are Backpack Hero and Figment free on Epic Games right now?
No. The specific promotion for these games ended on July 10, 2025. Epic rotates its free-game offers, so a current giveaway must be confirmed on the Epic Games Store free-games page. Epic says it gives away a game each week, with new games arriving each Thursday on mobile and PC; mobile availability may vary by region. That weekly schedule does not mean these two titles are currently free.
When were Backpack Hero and Figment free?
Both games were included in the same Epic Games Store giveaway, reported as running from July 3 through July 10, 2025. Players who claimed them during the promotion added them permanently to their Epic Games Store library, according to Neowin’s report.
Neowin listed each game at a usual price of $19.99 at the time of the offer. That is historical price context from 2025, not a statement of either game’s current price.

Backpack Hero
Backpack Hero is an inventory-management roguelike from indie developer Jaspel. Its central idea is that backpack organization is part of the strategy: where items sit affects how they perform. Runs take the player through randomly generated dungeons with enemies and loot.
Figment
Figment is an isometric action-adventure by Bedtime Digital Games, set in a surreal landscape inside a mind. Players follow Dusty, a former voice of courage, as he faces nightmares and helps restore the mind’s purpose.

Which game might suit you?
Their play loops differ. Backpack Hero emphasizes planning item placement and adapting through roguelike dungeon runs. Figment focuses on action-adventure exploration and a surreal narrative, with music as part of its presentation. The giveaway brought both together, but they are distinct choices rather than variations on the same style of play.
