This spoiler-heavy walkthrough covers how to start Bad Blood, follow the investigation to Pavlena, negotiate her release, and settle Bozhena’s dispute with Jakesh without killing him. Dialogue options can vary with quest state, so save before entering the hostage camp if you want to preserve options; that is a precaution, not a guarantee that choices can be reversed.
How to start Bad Blood
Speak with the herbwoman Bozhena at her hut and agree to look for her missing daughter, Pavlena. PowerPyx reports that the quest becomes available after Main Quest 5, “Wedding Crashers,” has begun. PowerPyx’s Bad Blood walkthrough

Searching Pavlena’s room is optional; PowerPyx describes the clues there as not especially useful. If you do search it, continue the inquiry in Troskowitz.
Investigate Pavlena’s disappearance
The investigation is built around conversations and a crime-scene lead. Ask around Troskowitz, then follow the trail toward Roman’s house and the clearing. Optional conversations or earlier actions may change what appears in your objectives, so use the active quest objective as the controlling sequence.

- Question Jezhek the cooper and check his alibi.
- Speak with the bailiff, then ask Farmer Jakesh about the past.
- Search Roman’s house.
- Return to Dushko and follow his lead to the clearing; search the crime scene.

How to find and save Pavlena
Follow the investigation to the rocky gorge camp where Pavlena is being held. Before you approach, consider saving: the rescue dialogue has consequential outcomes, and the available choices may depend on what Henry has learned and done.
Learn the pregnancy detail before the confrontation
Dushko can provide the information that Pavlena is pregnant. PowerPyx and KCD2.org both report that this detail can help in negotiating with her captor and may avoid some difficult checks. It is useful to have learned it before speaking to the man, but the precise dialogue route is guide-reported rather than a guaranteed script for every game state. KCD2.org’s Pavlena guide

Reported negotiation route
At the hostage scene, speak with the man holding Pavlena. PowerPyx reports a route that selects the top conversation option twice, then “Pavlena’s pregnant,” and then tells the captor he can go. In that account, Pavlena kills him after he lets her go. Use these choices as a reported path, not as a promise that the same options will appear in every playthrough.
Other outcomes may follow if the pregnancy clue is missing or the conversation proceeds differently. The available sources do not establish that every failed negotiation is consequence-free, so do not treat the hostage exchange as a reversible dialogue test.
After the rescue
Once Pavlena is free, speak with her and return to Bozhena. The rescue dialogue affects what follows, so pay attention to the choices presented rather than assuming the quest has ended when Pavlena leaves the camp.

After Pavlena returns, Bozhena asks Henry to kill Farmer Jakesh. You can instead pursue reconciliation. PowerPyx reports this sequence when speaking to Jakesh: choose “I’ve come to kill you,” accuse him with “You lie! Your hands did it!”, then say “I’ll try to patch things up between you.” These exact options are reported guide choices and may depend on the quest state.
After speaking with Jakesh, return to Bozhena and tell her about his proposal. This is where the compensation decision is made: PowerPyx says Henry may keep it or give it to Bozhena, who may keep half or take all. KCD2.org recommends handing the compensation to Bozhena as its preferred resolution, but that is a recommendation, not a universal reward rule. Decide based on the dialogue and outcome you want.
