Its real advantages come from understanding the five classes, planning around a six-week time loop, revisiting quests with different character abilities, and knowing exactly what unlocks the final run. The ending is not tied to filling the completion bar: you begin the final run after filling Colobra’s gauge with quest items.
This spoiler-aware guide explains the systems that matter, what the current game updates add, and which “secret” claims remain unverified. It covers the Steam release (May 15, 2024) and the Switch edition listed for February 19, 2026; menus and online behavior can differ by platform or later patch.

What kind of game is Baladins?
Baladins is a choice-driven narrative adventure set in Gatherac. A troupe travels through the region to entertain people, resolve quests and eventually face Colobra. Steam describes it as a one-to-four-player roleplaying adventure inspired by tabletop campaigns and calls it a “choose-your-own-story game for players of all ages and experience levels.” That description is important: Baladins is not structured like a conventional combat RPG in which grinding battles and replacing equipment are the main route to power.

Are there Baladins cheat codes?
No official source reviewed lists button codes, console commands or a code-based unlock menu for Baladins. Do not trust a page that presents a sequence of inputs as an established cheat unless it can be verified in the current game and version. Nothing in the official description or developer updates indicates that cheat codes are required to reach the ending.
Community material does exist. Steam’s guide index includes a full gameplay walkthrough and an in-progress endings compilation, but an index entry does not validate every route, condition or secret described inside those guides. A third-party search result also made very specific claims about secret passages, item routes, stat checks and hidden endings; the page could not be opened for verification. Those details should be treated as leads, not facts.
The dependable “shortcut” is strategic replay: choose a class that can open a different quest solution, record what each week reveals, and use the current save controls to protect a run before an important decision.
The five classes and how to choose one
Baladins has five classes: Cook, Luxomancer, Dancer, Pyro and Bard. Each has distinct skills, and the developer’s demo specifically tells players to check class characteristics when choosing a character. The available evidence does not establish a universal best class, a complete stat ranking or a damage-tier list, so selecting one should be an approach decision rather than a supposed optimization rule.
| Class | What is established | Practical selection rule |
|---|---|---|
| Cook | One of the five playable classes with its own skills. | Inspect its characteristics and action descriptions, then choose it if those actions fit the quests and choices your party wants to pursue. |
| Luxomancer | One of the five playable classes with its own skills. | Compare its available quest actions with the branches your group has not yet solved; exact advantages are version-dependent and should be checked in-game. |
| Dancer | One of the five playable classes with its own skills. | Use the class-information screen before committing. In multiplayer, consider whether its actions complement the other three players. |
| Pyro | One of the five playable classes with its own skills. | Evaluate the actual action text and characteristics in your edition instead of relying on an unverified online ranking. |
| Bard | One of the five playable classes with its own skills. | Choose it when its listed actions offer a useful alternative to the solutions already available to your party. |
For a first run, read every class characteristic before choosing. In a solo game, favor a class whose actions match the kind of choices you naturally make. In a group, a practical (not officially mandated) approach is to spread out complementary skills so the party is not relying on one type of quest solution. Keep notes on which class action changed a quest; that information is often more valuable than trying to memorize an alleged tier list.
How the six-week time loop works
The developer describes a six-week loop. During those weeks the troupe travels, entertains people, handles quests and collects discoveries. At the end, Colobra judges the effort. If the attempt fails, the heroes are sent back in time and can try again with what they learned.

This design changes how you should measure progress. A run is not simply a one-pass checklist in which every objective must be completed immediately. The developer’s demo says replaying unlocks more storylines, places and characters. A failed run can therefore reveal a route, a character or a class-specific solution that makes a later attempt more productive.

- At the start of a run, identify the quests and locations you have not seen rather than repeating only familiar objectives.
- When a choice closes one branch, note what happened and test a different decision on a later loop.
- Record which class action opened or changed a quest solution; another class may expose a new branch.
- Do not assume every item, statistic or discovery persists forever. The save system and patch notes distinguish what is tracked, and persistence behavior can change between updates.
Use failure as a controlled reset
Because the loop sends the troupe back in time, you can use an unsuccessful attempt to map the order of events and the cost of detours. Avoid treating an uncompleted quest as permanently lost unless the current game explicitly says so. The safest strategy is to learn the consequence, restart or reach the next loop, and approach the decision with a different class or choice.
Save points and the “End the Loop” control
A June 2024 developer update added a save point at the start of each in-game week. This gives you a predictable recovery point before the week’s decisions and lets you experiment without losing the whole run.
The same update added an End the Loop option in Settings. Selecting it advances the run to Colobra, but in multiplayer every party member must approve. This is a deliberate control, not a cheat: use it when the group has finished the objectives it wants from the current attempt or when it is ready to test the end-of-loop result.
- Reach the start of an in-game week so the automatic weekly save has been created.
- Open the game’s Settings menu.
- Select End the Loop.
- In multiplayer, wait for every player to approve. The loop will not advance on one player’s decision alone.
- Confirm the Colobra sequence and note the result before planning the next run.
Menu names and confirmation prompts can change with platform updates. If the control is absent, check that the game is updated and that you are looking in Settings rather than the pause screen.
How do you unlock the ending in Baladins?
The developer’s clarification is direct: the final run becomes available after you fill Colobra’s gauge with quest items. Those quest items are the trigger. The completion bar is not the trigger for the ending.

This distinction answers the common “How do I end the game?” question. You do not need to finish every quest, meet every character or find every item before the final run can start. Instead, pursue the quest items that raise Colobra’s gauge. Once the gauge is filled, use the loop controls and continue to the final run.
| System | What it measures or does | What it does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| Colobra’s gauge | Tracks the quest-item requirement for making the final run available. | It is not a percentage of every piece of content in the game. |
| Completion bar | Reflects discovered content. | It is not the condition that starts the ending. |
| Weekly save | Creates a recovery point at the start of each in-game week. | It does not automatically trigger Colobra’s judgment. |
| End the Loop | Advances the current attempt to Colobra after confirmation. | It does not replace the requirement to fill the gauge for the final run. |
Ending-focused route
- Prioritize quests that provide items for Colobra’s gauge.
- Check the gauge rather than using the completion bar as your objective tracker.
- Use weekly save points before committing to a risky quest decision.
- When the gauge is full, decide whether to finish the current week or select End the Loop.
- In a multiplayer party, obtain unanimous approval before advancing.
Do not confuse “the final run is available” with “every ending variation has been documented.” Official sources establish the gauge trigger, but they do not provide a complete, verified endings chart.
Completionist play versus reaching the ending
Baladins supports two different goals. An ending-focused player wants the quest items needed to fill Colobra’s gauge. A completionist wants to finish every quest, meet every character and find every item. The developer explicitly describes the completion bar as a measure of discovered content, so it is useful for the second goal rather than the first.
These goals can overlap, but they should not be treated as identical. If you are trying to see everything, expect to make additional loops after the ending becomes available. Use the bar to identify missing discoveries, and revisit unresolved quests with a different class. If you only want the finale, spending time on every optional character can delay the trigger without improving the gauge.
Why replaying with another class matters
The developer’s January 2025 update added class-action solutions to existing quests. That means a quest you could not solve, or could solve only one way, may have another route when a different class performs the relevant action. The correct response to a blocked branch is not to assume a hidden cheat code; it is to return in a later loop with a different class or party composition.
A repeatable quest-testing method
- Write down the quest location, the choice that stopped progress and any class requirement shown in the interface.
- On the next loop, select a character with a different class and revisit the same quest before spending the week elsewhere.
- Compare the new action options and record the resulting item, character meeting or story branch.
- Use the weekly save point to test a second decision if the first class action produces an unexpected result.
Exact action effects are not constant across every guide or patch, so rely on the current in-game descriptions. A class can be valuable because it opens a branch, not because it wins a conventional combat ranking.

Roazay update: new secrets to look for
The free January 30, 2025 Roazay update expanded the game with a new region, additional quests and characters, traveling merchants, a hidden character, new items and more class-action solutions. Any guide written before that update can omit content now available in the current game.
Traveling merchants and the hidden character create legitimate exploration opportunities. The hidden character can bring rewards when discovered, but official material reviewed here does not publish a complete spawn route or a guaranteed sequence of steps. Explore Roazay in multiple loops, talk to new characters and inspect merchant encounters, while avoiding claims that a particular route is mandatory unless the current game or a verified primary guide confirms it.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Multiplayer and platform considerations
Baladins supports up to four players locally or online. A 2024 developer update added Steam Remote Play Together and changed the online connection flow to use lobby codes. The exact screens and availability can differ between Steam and Switch, so verify the prompts in your edition before giving a friend a platform-specific instruction.
Multiplayer adds a decision-management problem: everyone must approve End the Loop. Agree in advance whether the party is pursuing Colobra’s gauge, testing a class-specific quest branch or filling the completion bar. A player who wants to explore an optional character can otherwise block a group that is ready to advance.
Common mistakes and how to correct them
Chasing an unverified code
Symptom: a guide promises a button combination or secret command but gives no reproducible source. Correction: treat it as unverified, update the game and use the documented loop, save and class systems instead.
Filling the completion bar first
Symptom: you believe every discovery is required before Colobra will judge the troupe. Correction: focus on quest items and watch Colobra’s gauge; reserve full-bar exploration for a separate completionist goal.

Repeating the same class solution
Symptom: a quest appears blocked after one attempt. Correction: return in another loop with a different class, because class actions can open new solutions.
Assuming all progress persists
Symptom: an item or statistic is missing after a reset and you conclude the game is broken. Correction: check what the current patch says the save system tracks. Persistence behavior is not established as universal across every update.
Advancing a shared run without agreement
Symptom: one player selects End the Loop while others still want to explore. Correction: agree on the party goal first; multiplayer requires approval from every party member.

What is and is not verified about secrets
Verified information covers the five classes, the six-week loop, weekly saves, the End the Loop control, the Colobra-gauge trigger, the completion-bar distinction and the Roazay content update. It does not establish a complete secret route, exact cheat codes, a class-by-class optimization ranking or every possible ending variation.
Use community walkthroughs as optional navigation aids, not as authority for unconfirmed claims. When a guide disagrees with the current in-game text, prioritize the game’s current descriptions and the developer’s documented updates. This approach avoids locking your run to a route that belonged to an older patch or an unverified interpretation.
