Here are ten options across those goals, with an important caveat: mod versions, dependencies, and compatibility can change. Check each live listing before installing.
Before you choose: how BG3 mods work
Patch 7 introduced Larian’s in-game Mod Manager and Toolkit for PC. Larian describes the official tools as intended to improve compatibility and accessibility, but that support does not guarantee that every third-party mod will work with every game version or setup. Mods can be installed through the in-game browser, BG3 Mod Manager, or manually as .pak or loose files. The right route depends on the specific mod; follow its own installation instructions rather than assuming all mods use the same method. PC Gamer’s June 12, 2026 guide outlines these routes and explains that BG3 Mod Manager exports an active load order to the game’s modsettings.lsx file.
Interface and inventory mods
1. Better Inventory UI
Consider this if you want a clearer inventory interface while sorting equipment and supplies. It is one of the interface options named in PC Gamer’s guide. Check the live listing for its current features, requirements, and installation route before adding it.

This option is aimed at improving the experience of managing containers. It may suit a run where you frequently sort or retrieve stored items. Confirm the current listing’s description and requirements; do not assume it is compatible with another interface mod.
Movement and camera mods
3. WASD Character Movement
For players who prefer direct keyboard movement to the game’s default point-and-click approach, WASD Character Movement is a named option in current mod guides. Check the listing for its required libraries, supported platforms, and any setup steps before installing.
4. Native Camera Tweaks
Native Camera Tweaks is for players seeking more control over camera behavior. The exact available adjustments and any dependencies can change, so consult its current page rather than relying on an older description.

5. A custom dice mod
Dice appearance is a small but frequent part of play, making a custom dice mod an easy way to personalize a run without changing its core rules. Nexus Mods’ Baldur’s Gate 3 listings include customization options; check the individual page for the specific dice mod, installation instructions, and compatibility notes.
6. A character-creation or hair mod
If you want a different look for your protagonist or companions, browse character customization listings for hair and other appearance changes. The available options and their requirements vary. Check whether a mod works with your game version and any other appearance mods you plan to use.
Four more slots: choose by goal, not by list position
The available sources identify the categories and examples above, but they do not substantiate four additional specific mods with current requirements and compatibility details. Rather than fill those slots with unverified names, use these four selection criteria to find options that fit your playthrough:

- More interface clarity: Look for a distinct improvement you actually want; avoid stacking similar interface changes without checking for conflicts.
- Different movement or camera control: Confirm whether the mod needs a library or Script Extender and whether it supports your platform.
- A small visual change: Consider another cosmetic option, such as a different dice or appearance mod, and verify its install method on its live page.
Nexus Mods is a place to browse BG3 mods, not a guarantee that a listing is current or compatible. A listing’s tags, update date, and requirements can change, so use the individual page as the authority for that mod.

For each mod, check the game patch or version, latest update date, required libraries, installation method, platform support, multiplayer requirements, and any reported conflicts. If it depends on Script Extender or a community framework, install and configure those requirements as directed by their maintainers.
For example, the Nexus Mods page for Compatibility Framework listed version 2.9.2.0, an update date of April 14, 2026, and a Patch 8-compatible tag when accessed. It describes the framework as an API for other mods and lists BG3 Community Library and Script Extender as requirements. Those details are time-sensitive; verify the live page before relying on them.

Managing load order
BG3 Mod Manager can display dependencies and export a load order to the game’s modsettings.lsx file. Its GitHub repository describes the tool and its export workflow. A missing dependency or an incomplete export can stop mods from loading as intended, so follow the manager’s instructions and the individual mod pages.
A third-party guide dated May 1, 2026 reports testing its own manager and game setup on two Windows PCs and a Steam Deck, with 30-minute gameplay samples. That is the guide publisher’s account of its testing, not a guarantee for your configuration or a test of the mods listed here.
