Baldur’s Gate 3’s detailed waypoint table lists 40 Ancient Sigil Circles across Acts One, Two, and Three. Use the act-by-act directory below to find each waypoint’s in-game name, area, and map coordinates. The total is a count of entries in that table—not a definitive in-game census: another guide gives an approximate estimate of 50 or more.
How waypoints work in Baldur’s Gate 3
Waypoints are Ancient Sigil Circles that serve as the game’s fast-travel markers. A party member activates an undiscovered circle by approaching it; summons cannot activate one. After discovery, select its name from the map’s waypoint list or click its marker on the map. Names may differ from the surrounding area’s name, so use the waypoint label in the directory below. The bg3.wiki waypoint reference also states that circles cannot be discovered while the character is invisible or while the game is in turn-based mode, including combat.

The bg3.wiki table lists 19 entries for Act One. Coordinates are in-game map coordinates.

How many waypoints are there?
The bg3.wiki table, last edited September 11, 2026, enumerates 19 Act One, 8 Act Two, and 13 Act Three entries: 40 listed in total. A BG3 Guides article updated July 17, 2026 instead estimates “approximately 50+ waypoints,” with approximate counts of 20, 10, and 20 by act. Its summarized tables omit entries found in the detailed table. These are different counting approaches, so neither figure establishes a definitive complete in-game count; the lists above reproduce the named entries in the detailed table.
