Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #26 was a PC update released on 19 September 2024, not a current patch announcement. Version 4.1.1.5932596 fixed two problems in Patch 7’s in-game Mod Manager and a Honour Mode save-switching bug. Larian later brought Patch 7 to console and Mac in October 2024; later hotfixes have since followed.

Did Hotfix #26 fix the Mod Manager?
It addressed specific filter and navigation-crash issues; it was not a general guarantee that all mods would work. Patch 7 introduced Larian’s in-game Mod Manager and modding Toolkit. The official browser lets players find and install supported mods, but Larian notes that not every third-party mod is available in-game. A game update can also leave individual mods needing attention.

If a mod needs an update, the in-game Mod Manager’s Installed tab can show an Update control. The Toolkit is a separate free Steam download for Windows PC—not an in-game console or Mac editor. When did Patch 7 reach console and Mac?
Hotfix #26’s September 2024 announcement said console and Mac players could expect Patch 7 soon, while PC would receive further minor tweaks and Mod Manager fixes. That was a forecast at the time, not the current status: Larian’s Patch 7 announcement was later updated to say the console and Mac rollout arrived in October 2024. During the period when PC and console versions were out of sync, Larian warned that cross-saves would not work between the different game versions. That was a version-mismatch issue during the rollout; it should not be read as a permanent rule that PC and console saves can never be shared. Check Larian’s mod support FAQ for its cross-save advice and current compatibility guidance.
Why are BG3 mods not working after Patch 7?
The hotfix corrected the listed Mod Manager bugs, but a particular mod may still be unsupported, unavailable through the in-game browser, or incompatible with the game version installed. Troubleshoot in this order
- Record the issue and platform. Note what action causes the problem and whether you are playing on PC, Mac, or console.
- Test without mods. Uninstall mods and check whether the same issue persists, as Larian recommends. Removing mods is a diagnostic step, not a guarantee that it will solve the problem. (Hotfix #26 announcement)

Is Hotfix #26 still the latest BG3 update?
No. Hotfix #26 is a historical September 2024 PC release. PC Gamer reported on 26 March 2026 that Hotfix 36 was live, addressing issues including save-loading framerate drops and crashes, an Xbox tooltip issue, and a Mac character-creation issue. That report establishes that later updates followed; for the latest version on your platform, check Larian’s official release notes rather than treating Hotfix #26 as current.
