Before you start: what Bamba Quest 1 is and what to expect
Bamba Snack Quest is the name used by Apple’s later mobile listing; “Bamba Quest 1” is the name many walkthrough searches use. The story begins when a squirrel steals the boy’s snack. Progress comes from observing each screen, collecting apparently ordinary objects, and trying them on one another or on environmental targets. It is not an inventory-heavy game with written instructions: the 2008 review describes the original as language-free, so visual clues and experimentation are central.
The mobile listing describes a free Adventure app for iPhone and iPad, requiring iOS 8.0 or later and iPadOS 8.0 or later. Its visible version history ends at version 1.1.2, dated September 11, 2018. Those are listing details, not a promise that the app is available in every country or that every modern device will install it. The older browser-game link associated with the walkthrough is not confirmed to work today, and the available evidence does not establish that the mobile port preserves every interaction exactly.

Quick hints (read these before the spoilers)
- Look for objects that can be repurposed. A branch, an orange, a bottle and a crab each become tools rather than simple collectibles.
- When a screen presents a machine, inspect its symbols before moving levers. The cockpit itself shows the required positions.
- For the cave door, a correctly placed shell lights a mask. One shell position is supplied by the hint: the starfish is third in the second row, and the center space is empty.
- In the light-beam puzzle, plan backward from the tentacle or gem you must hit; the beam’s reflections determine the useful route.
- The last room is about color mixing. Keep the red, yellow, blue and white gems available until each button sequence is complete.

Street crossing: stop the traffic
The opening screen blocks the boy with traffic. The squirrel can cross while the signal is green, so your first objective is to change it to red. The solution demonstrates the game’s basic rule: an item that looks decorative may be ammunition or a trigger.
- Break the branch on the right and collect it.
- Click the bee to distract the painter.
- Bring down the red paint and collect an orange.
- Dip the orange in the red paint.
- Use the other branch as a catapult and fire the painted orange at the traffic signal.
- When the signal turns red, cross the street.
The orange is the projectile; the branch supplies the launching mechanism. If the signal does not change, check that you collected both branches and painted the orange before attempting the catapult.

This area has a toolbox, a hedge, a box and a cockpit with levers. The viper symbols in the cockpit are the clue to the lever positions, so do not rely on a memorized pattern.
- Open the toolbox and take the hedgecutter.
- Cut the hedge, then push the box.
- Enter the cockpit and inspect the viper symbols to see which lever positions they indicate.
- Set the levers down and press the green button.
- Exit the cockpit and click the hook.
- Re-enter the cockpit, set the levers up, and press the green button again.
- Turn off the faucet and take the hose.
The two green-button presses are separate states: the first follows the “down” setting, and the second follows the “up” setting after you use the hook. If the machine appears inactive, return to the cockpit and read the symbols again rather than guessing.

Pipe, turtle and key: connect the route
The next barrier is a broken pipeline and a gap guarded by a turtle. The valve is both a plumbing part and a later interaction item.
- Rotate the pipe segments until the pipeline forms one continuous connection.
- Take the valve, attach it to the connected pipe and turn it.
- Pull a leaf from the bush and give it to the turtle.
- Take the valve back.
- Use the turtle to jump across the gap.
- Install and turn the valve on the far side.
- Take the key and use it to unlock the door.
There are two valve placements, one on each side of the gap. Taking it back after feeding the turtle is required; leaving it on the first pipe prevents the second installation.
Ocean: shells, pearl, crab and whale
The ocean sequence combines several small exchanges. The goal is to get across and wake the whale, and the crab eventually becomes bait.
- Open the blue shell and take the pearl.
- Throw a pearl at the left shell in the lower-right part of the scene.
- Take another pearl and hit the starfish. This lets you cross and collect the bottle.
- Swap the left shell with the bottle.
- Use another pearl on the right shell.
- Wait for the crab to enter the bottle, then collect the bottle and the fishing rod.
- Use the crab as bait with the fishing rod to wake the whale.
The bottle is not merely a container to carry away: positioning it between the shells is what allows the crab to enter. If the whale does not react, confirm that the crab is in the bottle and that you have collected the fishing rod.
Island and cave entrance: assemble a disguise
The island introduces an opossum, a cauldron, a parrot and a snake. Several items must be gathered before the cave will accept the boy.

- Click the opossum and take the meat.
- Collect a fruit from the hole and put it in the cauldron.
- Pick up the feather and move the snake.
- Get a second fruit and add it to the cauldron.
- Click the opossum when the parrot is sitting on the other tree.
- Combine the bone and coconut. The coconut becomes the hat in the disguise.
- Put on the disguise and enter the cave.
The timing of the opossum click matters: wait until the parrot has moved to the other tree. The meat, fruit, feather, bone and coconut are not independent errands; together they create the visual disguise that permits entry.
Cave door: solve the shell arrangement
Inside the cave entrance is a shell-placement door. Every shell has one correct position, and a mask lights whenever a shell is correctly placed. The available hint fixes two facts: the starfish belongs in the third position of the second row, and the middle space is empty.
- Place the starfish in the third position of the second row.
- Leave the center space empty.
- Test the remaining shells in the open positions.
- Keep any shell that lights its mask and move only shells that do not light.
- Continue until every mask associated with a shell is lit, then use the opened passage.
This is a deduction-by-testing puzzle rather than a fixed sequence stated in the guide. The lighted mask confirms a correct placement; the unlit result tells you to try that shell elsewhere.
Cave interior: reflected light and the green gem
The next cave screen uses mirrors or reflective surfaces to route a beam. The practical hint is to work backward from the required target instead of tracing random reflections.
- Remove the green gem from the door.
- Click the spider and observe how the beam reflects across the room.
- Plan a path that sends the beam to the tentacle first; working backward from the tentacle makes the reflection choices easier.
- Take the green gem and place it on the statue.
- Redirect the beam so that it strikes the gem on the statue.
- Climb down when the route is complete.
The spider interaction is useful because it reveals the beam’s behavior. If the beam misses the statue, adjust the reflections rather than moving the gem repeatedly; the gem must be in place when the final beam path is set.

Beast: mushroom rhythm, vine and key
The beast area combines a timing puzzle with a plant interaction. A bug must cross, and the beast can be incapacitated only after the vine and flower sequence.
- Find the mushroom sequence that lets the bug cross. The guide’s specific hint is that one mushroom must be struck three times in a row.
- Click the vine so the bug climbs.
- Wait for the plant to become infected.
- Click the beast, then click the flower. The flower nectar incapacitates the beast.
- While the beast is down, take the key and move it toward the door.
- Jump on the beast’s head and use the key to unlock the door.
The order matters: the flower is effective only after the infection event, and the key can be reached while the beast is incapacitated. If the bug will not cross, revisit the mushroom hits and make sure the same mushroom receives three consecutive strikes.
Laundry and basket: wash the rag and cross
This scene is a sequence of crossings. The dirty rag becomes the item that lets you use the basket, while a tumbler lock supplies detergent.
- Put the dirty rag in the basket.
- When the basket is pressed, use it to cross.
- Open the box and align each tumbler with the upper hole, starting at the outer rims and working inward.
- Pull the pins to complete the lock and take the detergent.
- Cross back.
- Open the washer with the yellow button.
- Add the detergent and dirty rag, close the washer with the yellow button, and press the red button.
- Light the fire with the brush.
- Press red, then green.
- Take the clean rag and jump into the basket.
The lock is easier from the outside inward because each tumbler must line up with the upper opening. The washer’s yellow button opens and closes it; the red and green controls then run the process after the fire is lit.

Final room: combine the colored gems
The final room is a controlled sequence of gem placement, color mixing and button presses. Keep track of which mixed color is active before each press.

- Try the yellow gem first.
- Take the red gem and place it on the wall.
- Click the red gem so the line turns red, then press the red button.
- Take the cheese and give it to the mouse. The mouse gives you the yellow gem.
- Put the yellow gem on the wall.
- Combine red and yellow to make orange.
- Look under the rug for the key.
- Press orange, put the key on the hook, and press orange again.
- Pull the mechanism under the cuckoo clock and take the blue gem.
- Place the blue gem on the wall.
- Combine red and blue, then press the resulting button.
- Combine blue and yellow and press that button.
- After the ogre leaves, take the white gem from the window.
- Combine red and white, press the button, and climb the ladder.
The sequence depends on collecting the yellow gem from the mouse rather than assuming it remains available from the start. The key is hidden under the rug and is used on the hook only during the orange-color step.
Common sticking points and how to recover
- Traffic signal stays green: verify that the orange was dipped in red paint and launched with the second branch after the bee distracted the painter.
- Cockpit controls do nothing: inspect the viper symbols and remember that the levers are used down once, then up after the hook interaction.
- Turtle crossing is blocked: give the turtle the leaf, take the valve back, and install it on the far side.
- Whale does not wake: the crab must enter the bottle, and the fishing rod must be collected before using the crab as bait.
- Cave door will not open: use the starfish’s known position and empty center as anchors, then test shells until their masks light.
- Light beam misses: place the green gem on the statue and design the reflected route backward from the target.
- Beast remains active: complete the three-hit mushroom clue, let the vine bug climb, wait for infection, then use the flower.
- Washer sequence stalls: use detergent and rag together, close with yellow, press red, light the fire with the brush, then press red and green.
Version and numbering notes
The walkthrough’s scene numbers are a convenience, not a confirmed official chapter list. One source describes eight unlockable chapters; the detailed player solution reaches scene 9 and labels the shell and reflected-light sections 6a and 6b. Naming locations—street, machinery, pipe, ocean, island, cave, beast, laundry and final room—avoids sending you to the wrong puzzle when guides use different numbering.
For access, the only specifically documented current distribution in the available material is the free iPhone/iPad listing with the iOS 8.0 and iPadOS 8.0 requirement and a last-visible version of 1.1.2 from September 11, 2018.
