Is Lion Heart the same game as BANCHOU TACTICS?
No. The listings describe two distinct games, with different lead characters, genres, and combat systems. Nintendo lists BANCHOU TACTICS as a digital Nintendo Switch game released February 15, 2024, published by Flyhigh Works. The Xbox listing is for Banchou Tactics: Lion Heart, released for Xbox Series X|S in 2026.

A Steam Community news archive for the earlier game announced a PC release date of August 10, 2023, in a June 15, 2023 post. That date and Nintendo’s February 15, 2024 date refer to different platform release information, rather than evidence that the games are one title. The Steam news archive also contains a September 24, 2023 update note for version 1.25 describing post-game Fight Club stages, characters unlocked by completing them, and separate auto-save and player-save slots.

How does Lion Heart’s combat work?
The Xbox description presents Lion Heart as a party-based action tactical RPG about rival Japanese delinquent schools. What is BANCHOU TACTICS about?
Nintendo describes BANCHOU TACTICS as a turn-based strategy RPG centered on Taiga Arashi and rivalries among Sakae High School, Nakamura Technical High School, and Minato High School. Nintendo’s listing also tags the game for pixel art. Its turn-based format is a different combat description from the action-timing blend Xbox describes for Lion Heart.
Is Lion Heart a sequel or an Xbox port?
The official listings establish different titles, protagonists, and platforms, but do not state that Lion Heart is a sequel, port, or re-release of BANCHOU TACTICS.
