A Batman: Arkham Asylum trainer is third-party PC software that changes gameplay while the game is running. The advertised features and compatibility depend on your edition, storefront and exact build: a GOTY trainer for a Windows installation is not automatically suitable for every Steam, Epic or retail copy. Current listings advertise functions such as unlimited health, extra upgrade points, easier kills, speed changes, enemy and timer freezes, and position saving, but those are provider-listed options rather than independently verified results.
What a Batman: Arkham Asylum trainer does
A trainer attaches to a running game process and changes selected values or rules, such as Batman’s health, damage, movement speed or available upgrade points. It is separate from the game’s official difficulty settings, menus and modes. Because the software works against a particular executable, compatibility is tied to the game distribution and build for which the trainer was made.

The game in question is Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition for PC. Steam identifies WB Games as publisher, Rocksteady Studios as developer and the product as single-player. A trainer listing that says only “Arkham Asylum” is therefore incomplete until it identifies whether it targets the GOTY release and which PC distribution it expects.

The official PC manual describes Story Mode, Challenge Mode, Character Bios, Character Trophies and Options. Starting a new Story Mode game presents Easy, Normal or Hard difficulty. The Options menu covers ordinary controls such as camera behavior, brightness, vibration, subtitles and volume.

- Face off against Gotham's greatest villains including The Joker, Harley Quinn, Victor Zsasz and Killer Croc
- Become the Invisible Predator with Batman's fear takedowns and unique vantage point system to move without being seen and hunt enemies
- Experience a whole new game to play with Game of the Year Edition
- Utilize the unique FreeFlow combat system to chain together unlimited combos seamlessly and battle with huge groups of The Joker's henchmen in brutal melee brawls

Those settings are part of the shipped game. A trainer’s “Unlimited Health” or “Easy Kills” function is an external modification, not an additional official difficulty level. Challenge Mode remains a built-in mode even when a trainer is active; a listing that advertises “Increase Challenge Score” is describing a separate modification.
Advertised GOTY trainer options
WeMod listing
WeMod’s GOTY trainer page advertises four functions and labels the application Windows-only:
- Unlimited Health: intended to prevent Batman’s health from decreasing.
- Unlimited Upgrade Points: intended to provide an unlimited pool for upgrades.
- Easy Kills: intended to make enemies easier to defeat.
- Player Speed: intended to alter movement speed.
These are advertised capabilities, not a guarantee that every function works on your installation. An associated community discussion called itself the official discussion topic for that trainer and listed the same four options in a 2019 post. That dated post should not be treated as proof of present-day compatibility.

Cheat Happens listings
Cheat Happens lists a broader set of options and separates game distributions. Its Epic Store entry is marked “Updated: May 12, 2020” and identifies the game version as “05.12.2020.” The listed functions include:
- Unlimited Health
- Super Damage
- Super Speed
- Increase XP
- Increase Upgrade Points
- Increase Challenge Score
- Freeze Enemies
- Freeze Timer
- No Gravity
- Save/Load Position
The same listing directs Steam users to Steam-specific support rather than implying that the Epic entry is universal. The date and version label belong to that provider’s listing; they do not establish that the trainer supports every later or differently distributed executable.
Older retail and Games for Windows–Live listing
A separate older retail trainer identifies version 1.00 and Games for Windows–Live (GFWL) 3.017.0. It advertises health, one-hit-kill, speed, slow-motion and teleport functions. Those exact version labels are useful as a compatibility warning: a trainer built for that retail/GFWL combination should not be assumed to work with a current Steam or Epic installation.
Compatibility: the four checks that matter
Before considering any trainer, match all four items below. A matching game title alone is not enough.
Rank #2
- Batman: Arkham Collection brings you the definitive versions of Rocksteady's Arkham Trilogy games, including all post-launch content, in one complete collection.
- Experience two of the most critically acclaimed titles of the last generation - Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, with fully remastered and updated visuals.
- Complete your experience with the explosive finale to the Arkham series in Batman: Arkham Knight.
- Edition: Confirm whether your copy is Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition or another release. Expansion content and executable changes can affect trainer behavior.
- Distribution: Identify the storefront or channel: Steam, Epic Store or an older retail/GFWL copy. Providers often publish separate entries for these distributions.
- Exact build: Compare the game version shown by the trainer provider with the version of your installed executable. A listing that specifies version 1.00, GFWL 3.017.0 or “05.12.2020” is making a narrower claim than a title-only listing.
- Operating system: Check the provider’s stated support. The WeMod listing labels its app Windows-only, and the supplied trainer listings concern PC environments; they do not establish console support.
If any item is unclear, treat compatibility as unknown rather than assuming that a feature will work. A trainer may fail to attach, affect only some options or cause the game to close when its target build differs.
Provider and distribution comparison
| Listing | Distribution or build identified | Advertised options | What the listing establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| WeMod GOTY trainer | GOTY edition; Windows-only application label | Unlimited Health, Unlimited Upgrade Points, Easy Kills, Player Speed | The provider advertises these four functions for its listed trainer; compatibility with a particular installation is not independently established. |
| Cheat Happens Epic Store entry | Epic Store; updated May 12, 2020; game version 05.12.2020 | Unlimited Health, Super Damage, Super Speed, Increase XP, Increase Upgrade Points, Increase Challenge Score, Freeze Enemies, Freeze Timer, No Gravity, Save/Load Position | A dated Epic-specific listing with the stated version label. Steam users are directed to separate support. |
| Older retail trainer | Retail version 1.00; GFWL 3.017.0 | Health, one-hit-kill, speed, slow-motion, teleport | An old retail/GFWL target, not a blanket recommendation for modern storefront builds. |
How to evaluate a listing before using it
1. Identify your installed copy
Write down the storefront, edition name and game version shown by your launcher or executable information. Do not rely on a search result that omits those details. If you own the Steam GOTY release, a listing explicitly marked Epic Store or retail/GFWL is a different target even when the game title is identical.
2. Match the desired function
Choose the smallest feature set that answers your need. For example, a player seeking more health should look for an Unlimited Health entry; someone trying to practice a route may need Save/Load Position; a Challenge Mode experiment may require a listing that specifically advertises Increase Challenge Score. “Trainer available” does not mean that every provider offers the same controls.
3. Read the version and date labels
Record the exact build notation and update date shown by the provider. Cheat Happens’ Epic entry demonstrates why this matters: “Updated: May 12, 2020” and “Game Version: 05.12.2020” describe that entry, not all copies of the game. An undated or title-only page gives you less evidence for a compatibility decision.
4. Check platform scope
Use only the operating system and distribution named by the provider. The available listings are PC-focused, and the WeMod page explicitly says Windows-only. Nothing in these listings establishes support for PlayStation, Xbox or another console version.
5. Keep the original game state recoverable
Back up save data and note which files you changed before experimenting. A trainer is not part of the official game, so your normal troubleshooting path should include disabling it and restoring an unmodified launch. Do not overwrite a working save with a state created while unusual movement, damage or position features are active.
What the advertised functions mean in practice
Health, damage and kills
Unlimited Health, Super Damage and Easy Kills all affect combat, but they are not interchangeable. Unlimited Health concerns survivability; Super Damage changes the force of attacks; Easy Kills is a broader provider-defined behavior. One-hit-kill in the older retail listing is another distinct label. If a listing does not explain whether a function affects bosses, environmental hazards or scripted encounters, that scope is not established.

- Face off against Gotham's greatest villains including The Joker, HARLEY QUINN, VICTOR ZSASZ and KILLER CROC.
- Become the Invisible Predator with Batman's takedowns and unique vantage point system to move without being seen or utilize the unique FreeFlow combat system to chain together unlimited combos and battle with huge groups of The Joker's henchmen.
- Choose multiple takedown methods, including swooping from the sky and smashing through walls, and use the predator camera get a closer look at the action.
- Explore every inch of Arkham Asylum and roam freely on the infamous island, presented for the first time ever in its gritty and realistic entirety.
- Experience what it's like to be Batman using explosive gel aerosol, the Batclaw, sonar resonator and the line launcher.
Upgrade points and experience
Unlimited Upgrade Points and Increase Upgrade Points are both listed by providers, while Increase XP appears in the Cheat Happens entry. The names suggest different mechanisms: one may maintain a large balance, another may add points, and XP may affect the progression system before points are awarded. Do not assume that activating one automatically grants the result described by another.
Speed, gravity and time
Player Speed and Super Speed are movement-oriented options. No Gravity changes a physics rule, while Freeze Timer is aimed at a timer and Freeze Enemies at enemy behavior. These effects can interfere with scripted sequences or Challenge Mode scoring because they alter conditions the game normally controls. The listings advertise the options but do not document every mission-specific limitation.
Position saving and teleportation
Save/Load Position appears in the Cheat Happens list; teleport appears in the older retail list. Both can move Batman outside the route designed by the level, but they are different controls and come from different build targets. A position feature should not be treated as interchangeable across providers or editions.

The trainer cannot find the game
Recheck the distribution and executable version first. An Epic-specific trainer will not necessarily recognize a Steam process, and a retail/GFWL trainer may be looking for an obsolete executable. Confirm that the game is running on the operating system named by the provider, then compare the provider’s version label with your installed build.
Only some options work
Partial operation usually means the trainer and game share enough structure for some addresses but not others, or that an option is limited to a particular mode. Turn off all functions, relaunch the unmodified game and test one advertised option at a time. Record the exact option, mode and build rather than concluding that the whole trainer is compatible.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe game crashes or behaves incorrectly
Disable the trainer and reproduce the same scene without modifications. If the problem disappears, restore the original launch, verify the game files through your storefront and use a backup save. Avoid continuing a campaign from a save created after teleportation, altered gravity or other movement changes if it now loads inconsistently.
A community download has disappeared
A Steam Community trainer guide result was removed for violating Steam Community & Content Guidelines. That removal is a reminder that community-posted downloads are not official game support. Use the provider’s current distribution and version information rather than treating a cached forum reference as an authoritative download or compatibility statement.

Safety and account considerations
The available evidence identifies advertised features and build labels; it does not establish that any trainer is safe, virus-free or harmless. Treat third-party executables as untrusted software: obtain them only from a source you can evaluate, keep security software active, inspect the file before running it and avoid disabling protections merely to force a launch. These are general precautions, not a certification of any provider.
Arkham Asylum is identified as a single-player product, so the listings do not provide evidence about online use, multiplayer fairness or account-policy treatment. Do not infer that a single-player trainer is permitted in another game or service. Keep trainer experiments separate from any online-enabled software and follow the rules that apply to your own platform account.

- For a Windows GOTY player wanting four basic toggles: the WeMod listing advertises Unlimited Health, Unlimited Upgrade Points, Easy Kills and Player Speed, subject to its stated Windows scope and your build match.
- For an Epic Store player seeking a wider menu: the Cheat Happens Epic entry lists combat, progression, timer, enemy, gravity and position options, with the dated 05.12.2020 version label.
- For a Steam player: use a Steam-specific listing or support path. Do not substitute the Epic entry or an old retail/GFWL trainer merely because the title is the same.
- For an old retail/GFWL installation: the version 1.00 and GFWL 3.017.0 labels are the relevant identifiers; this does not make that trainer suitable for current storefront builds.
Bottom line for Batman: Arkham Asylum trainers
There is no single universal Batman: Arkham Asylum trainer. The practical choice is determined by your GOTY edition, storefront, exact game build, Windows support and the specific option you need. Provider pages advertise different feature sets—four functions on the listed WeMod GOTY trainer, a larger Epic-oriented set on Cheat Happens, and a separate legacy set for retail/GFWL—but none of those listings alone proves compatibility with your installation. Match the identifiers before launching third-party software, and keep the official Story Mode, Challenge Mode and difficulty settings distinct from trainer modifications.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Batman: Arkham Asylum trainers work on consoles?
The listed trainers are PC-focused, and the WeMod listing is explicitly Windows-only. The available evidence does not establish support for PlayStation, Xbox or other console editions.
Is the Epic Store trainer compatible with the Steam GOTY version?
Do not assume so. Cheat Happens identifies its entry as Epic Store, with a May 12, 2020 update date and game version 05.12.2020, and directs Steam users to separate support.
Are trainer downloads guaranteed to be safe?
No safety, virus-free or harmlessness guarantee is established by the feature listings. Evaluate third-party executables independently, keep security protections enabled and maintain backups.
