What role does Elijah Wood play?
Wood performs both the voice and motion capture for Dr. Jonathan Crane, the character associated with Scarecrow. The casting was announced in a Camouflaj video Q&A; Road to VR reported the reveal on October 21, 2024.
In the video message, Wood said he was a longtime Batman fan across films, games and comics, and was intrigued by the prospect of the next Arkham chapter being made entirely in VR.
How does Crane fit into the story?
DC describes Dr. Crane as appearing before he becomes Scarecrow, so the game presents an earlier point in the character’s story. Its broader setup places a younger Batman in Gotham around the Fourth of July, as the Rat King and his followers threaten the city. DC’s June 11, 2024 story-trailer article also discusses Harleen Quinzel before she becomes Harley Quinn. These details establish the premise without revealing later story developments.

Which headsets can play Batman: Arkham Shadow?
Batman: Arkham Shadow is a VR game available for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S; DC’s official game listing names no other platforms. The listing identifies Camouflaj as developer, Oculus Studios as publisher, and October 22, 2024 as the on-sale date.
At launch, Camouflaj said the game cost $49.99 USD for people who already owned compatible hardware and was bundled with new Quest 3 and Quest 3S purchases. Those were launch terms announced October 22, 2024, not a statement of current pricing or availability. Camouflaj’s launch announcement provides those dated details.
