Which headsets can play Batman: Arkham Shadow?
DC’s current game listing names Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S as the supported headsets: DC’s Batman: Arkham Shadow listing. Camouflaj, the developer, likewise said the game was available on both headsets in its October 22, 2024 launch post: Camouflaj.
The original Quest 3-exclusive description reflects the announcement-era platform plan, not the complete current compatibility list. Meta’s August 20, 2024 gameplay trailer used the wording “Only on Meta Quest 3”; Camouflaj later confirmed Quest 3S availability, and DC’s current listing names both models.
- Supported: Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.
- Not listed in the official materials reviewed: Quest 2, PC VR, PlayStation VR, and other platforms.
If you do not own one of the listed headsets, the official platform information does not establish another way to play the game.

What kind of game is it?
Camouflaj describes Batman: Arkham Shadow as an official entry in the Arkham franchise and a strictly single-player game. Its announcement-era description presents the combat as a reimagining of classic Arkham combat, with traversal, audio, and visuals adapted for VR. Those are the developer’s descriptions, not independent evaluations.
Where does the story fit in the Arkham series?
Meta’s official gameplay trailer places the story between Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Asylum. Bruce Wayne faces the Rat King, described in the trailer as a criminal with a cult following. The promotional material also names returning characters Harleen Quinzel, Jim Gordon, Harvey Dent, and Dr. Crane.

That is the announcement-era story setup; it establishes the premise and timeline without requiring details about how the plot unfolds.
When did it launch, and what was the announced price?
Meta’s official gameplay trailer, published August 20, 2024, announced an October 2024 release window. Camouflaj’s October 22, 2024 launch post said the game was then available. That post listed $49.99 USD for existing headset owners and said the game was bundled with new Quest 3 and Quest 3S purchases at the time.
