Collect treasures in a progression-first order: prioritize the economy and worker-efficiency treasures that help you deploy cats and reach upgrade thresholds, then take health and attack improvements, and finally finish every treasure in the chapter. Replace Inferior and Normal drops with Superior versions whenever practical, preferably during a Treasure Festival. A chapter showing 100% is displaying maximum set power—not a literal 100% increase to a stat—and that maximum requires every Superior treasure.
Treasures are permanent upgrades earned from clearing main-story stages. Skipping them can leave your account permanently weaker for later stages, even if your cats and account level appear adequate.

What treasures do in The Battle Cats
Treasures are random post-stage rewards from the main story. Once a treasure is activated, its effect persists across your gameplay rather than applying only to the stage where it was found. That makes treasure collection part of the game’s long-term progression system, not an optional cosmetic hunt.

Each treasure has three possible quality tiers:
- Inferior: the lowest-quality version of a stage treasure.
- Normal: a stronger version of the same treasure.
- Superior: the strongest version and the one required for maximum set power.
A stage can be replayed to improve the tier you already obtained. The commonly cited guide says the game will not award a treasure of the same or a lower tier after that stage has already produced one, so a later successful drop should improve your collection rather than downgrade it.
What “100%” means—and what it does not
Treasure menus can show a set at 100%, but that percentage represents the set’s maximum power. It does not mean the affected stat has increased by exactly 100%. Treat it as a completion indicator for the chapter’s treasure set.
Maximum set power requires all Superior treasures. A chapter with a mixture of Inferior, Normal and Superior drops can be useful, but it is not fully completed. If a later stage assumes the full chapter bonus, leaving weaker versions in place can explain why your cats seem to fall short despite having the expected levels.

Which treasures should you collect first?
There is no single universal ranking that fits every chapter, account and wall. Use the following order because it improves the resources and deployment options that let you clear the rest of the chapter.
1. Economy and worker-efficiency treasures
Start with treasures that make it easier to produce money, deploy cats and reach worker or upgrade thresholds. Their benefit is indirect but immediate: a stronger economy lets you field expensive units sooner, recover after a failed push and maintain a larger lineup during long stages.

For Empire of Cats, named examples include Energy Drink, Giant Safe and Relativity Clock. Treat these as early targets when you are choosing between otherwise similar stages. The exact order can change if a particular stage is blocking a chapter gate, but economy should normally come before polishing lower-impact rewards.
2. Core combat, health and attack treasures
After the economy foundation is in place, collect treasures that improve survivability and attack performance. More health gives your frontline cats time to hold position; more attack shortens fights and reduces the time enemies have to overwhelm you. These upgrades matter most when a stage has a clear damage race or when your cats are dying just before a boss is defeated.
The Empire of Cats examples also include Philosopher’s Stone and Legendary Cat Sword. The useful rule is not to memorize a permanent five-item ranking, but to compare each remaining stage on immediate battle impact, economy or progression impact, and whether the chapter needs that treasure for a comfortable clear.
3. Finish the chapter instead of stopping at a partial set
Once the priority economy and combat treasures are secured, complete the remaining chapter treasures. A partial collection can leave the set below maximum power, and a later progression gate may be much harder without the full bonus. If you have already earned an Inferior or Normal version, upgrade it when the stage is efficient to farm, but do not abandon unfinished stages simply because the first drop was good enough for the moment.
4. Upgrade quality opportunistically
Superior is the target for every treasure, but farming every stage immediately is not always the best use of your energy. Keep moving through the story if a stage is not blocking progress, then return during a higher-chance event. This approach gives you useful permanent effects quickly while reserving repeated attempts for efficient windows.

A practical priority framework
When two treasures appear equally accessible, score each one against these three questions:

- Immediate battle impact: Will this help your current wall by improving survival or damage?
- Economy and progression impact: Will it let you deploy cats sooner, afford upgrades or reach a worker threshold?
- Gate value: Is the treasure part of a chapter completion requirement or the difference between a comfortable and a marginal clear?
Choose the stage with the strongest combined answer rather than assuming every player should follow the same fixed list. A player struggling to hold a front line can move a health-oriented treasure ahead of a small economy gain; a player who cannot afford their key units should stay with economy first.
How treasure drops work
After you clear an eligible main-story stage, the game may award that stage’s treasure. The reward is random, and the tier is also random. A guide published by AntGames on September 30, 2025 reports the following figures:

Because the figures are guide-reported rather than an official published rate table, use them to plan farming, not as a guarantee for a specific number of runs. A poor streak does not prove that a stage is broken, and one early Superior drop does not establish a higher permanent rate.
Treasure Festivals: when to farm
A Treasure Festival is the preferred time to repeat stages for drops. The cited guide says the event doubles the treasure chance for its featured chapter, raising the reported general chance from 35% to 70%. Check which chapter is featured before spending energy; an event helps the listed chapter, not every stage in the game at once.

Use Festivals for two jobs:
- Finish a chapter whose missing treasures are blocking progression.
- Replace Inferior or Normal versions with Superior versions at a better expected return per attempt.
If your energy is limited, farm the chapter that supplies the upgrade you need now rather than chasing a visually complete collection in an earlier chapter that is no longer affecting your clears.
Zombie Outbreak medals and other ways to improve farming
Zombie Outbreak medals can increase treasure drop rates for the associated stages. Their benefit is tied to the relevant stages, so apply them to the chapter you are actively farming rather than assuming the increase covers the entire main story.
Treasure Radars are another targeted option. The guide describes a Radar as guaranteeing a Superior treasure. Because Radars are limited resources, its recommendation is to conserve them for especially valuable item-drop or XP stages instead of spending one casually on a treasure that is easy to obtain during a Festival.
Step-by-step farming plan
- Identify the chapter and missing treasures. Open the main-story treasure information and note which entries are missing or below Superior.
- Choose the progression target. Select the economy or worker-efficiency stage first unless a health, attack or chapter-gate treasure is the immediate reason you are losing.
- Check the event schedule. If a Treasure Festival features that chapter, wait for the event when your energy and timetable allow.
- Clear the stage repeatedly. Each successful drop gives the stage’s treasure; once you have a tier, later drops should not be the same or lower tier according to the cited guide.
- Use medals where they apply. If a Zombie Outbreak medal affects the stage, include that bonus in your farming plan.
- Reserve a Radar for high-value cases. Use one when guaranteeing Superior saves substantial time or protects a particularly valuable item-drop or XP stage, not simply because the first few attempts were unlucky.
- Return to unfinished stages. After the urgent upgrade is secured, complete the chapter and replace weaker tiers until every treasure is Superior.
Why skipping treasures causes progression walls
Skipping a treasure does not merely remove a small bonus from one stage. The effect remains absent while you attempt later content, so your economy, durability or damage can lag behind the assumptions built into those stages. That gap is especially noticeable when you are already close to a clear: a battle may run out of time, your frontline may collapse before the boss, or you may be unable to deploy the cats needed to stabilize the field.

If several story chapters have been skipped, farming the missing sets can be more productive than repeatedly changing your lineup against a wall.

Common mistakes and fixes
Stopping after the first drop
An Inferior or Normal treasure activates useful progress, but it is not the chapter’s maximum. Mark the stage for a Festival return and upgrade it to Superior.
Reading 100% as a literal stat increase
The display means the set has reached maximum power. Do not expect the affected stat itself to be doubled or raised by exactly 100%.
Spending a Radar on a low-value stage
A guaranteed Superior is powerful, but the resource is limited. Save it for a stage whose guaranteed result removes a major progression bottleneck or protects a valuable item-drop or XP opportunity.
Farming the wrong chapter during a Festival
Confirm the featured chapter before spending energy. The reported 70% chance applies to the featured chapter, while other chapters follow their own conditions.
Assuming bad luck means a failed strategy
Drop rates are random. Separate a farming problem from a combat problem: if you are losing battles, improve your lineup and levels; if you are winning but missing treasures, use event timing and targeted repeats.

Take economy and worker-efficiency treasures first, then health and attack improvements, and finish every chapter rather than treating partial sets as permanent completion. Farm during the featured Treasure Festival when possible, use Zombie Outbreak medal bonuses on their associated stages, and spend Treasure Radars only where a guaranteed Superior meaningfully saves time or unlocks progress. The strongest long-term account is the one with every relevant chapter completed at Superior quality—not the one that simply reached the next stage fastest.
