REDSEC Battle Royale Solos moved from exploratory testing to a launch announced for Season 3 in June. EA’s October 1 update now looks ahead to Season 5 and content continuing into 2027; its proposed balance changes are still subject to testing and change.

Is the AH-6 Little Bird in Battlefield 6?
Yes. EA announced the returning NATO attack helicopter in its February 13, 2026 Game Update 1.2.1.0 update notes, which said Season 2 content went live February 17. EA’s March 2 community update then said players were already taking to the skies with the Little Bird.
That makes the AH-6 a released Season 2 vehicle, not a new October 2026 reveal. EA’s October 1 Season 5 and beyond update does mention the helicopter again, but in a different context: reducing its splash damage against infantry is listed as a planned balance change. EA says the explored changes may be adjusted, delayed or removed based on Battlefield Labs testing and feedback, so this should not be read as a live patch note.
When did REDSEC Solos launch?
EA announced the launch of Battle Royale Solos in the June 5, 2026 Season 3 Blastpoint roadmap. That followed an earlier testing phase: in its January 21 community update, EA described internal and exploratory testing of Solo play, focused on pacing, balance, match flow and how a solo option could fit alongside other Battle Royale experiences. At that point, the company said it had not committed to one permanent configuration.

The June announcement establishes that Solos progressed beyond exploratory testing to a launch in the Season 3 update. It does not establish that the mode remains in every playlist or is permanently available. Check the in-game REDSEC playlist or a current official schedule for present availability.
What is coming in Battlefield 6 Season 5?
EA’s October 1, 2026 update frames Season 5 as the start of the game’s second year of content and evolution. It previews work on vehicle health and damage, anti-air, gunplay and vehicle balance. These are forward-looking plans, not a guarantee that every proposed change will ship as described. EA says Battlefield Labs testing and feedback may alter, delay or remove explored changes.

Previously announced Season 5 features
EA’s July 30 community update listed Season 5 for winter and identified Platoons, a Server Browser, Multiplayer Leaderboards and three new maps. EA described one map as more focused on infantry combat and two as supporting larger combined-arms play. These are roadmap commitments or plans as described in that update, rather than features confirmed as already available in October.
Content beyond Season 5
In its October update, The Battlefield Team said, “Throughout 2027, we’ll continue delivering new content for Battlefield 6 and REDSEC while refining the core systems that define the Battlefield experience.” This is EA’s forward-looking statement about continued support, not a dated schedule for specific 2027 releases. The team also wrote, “Season 5 is only the beginning of our second year of content and evolution.”

How to read the 2026 roadmap
The key distinction is the stage each item has reached. The Little Bird is released content; REDSEC Solos was tested and then announced for launch in June; and the October balance work and Season 5/2027 plans remain future-facing. For features without a confirmed current status, rely on an up-to-date in-game listing or EA announcement rather than treating a roadmap entry as proof that it is live.
