It was described as work-in-progress footage—not a recording of a Battlefield Labs playtest—and EA’s later launch information does not confirm that this exact scene made it into the released game.
What the leaked Battlefield 6 clip reportedly showed
On June 19, 2025, Battlefield dataminer Temporyal posted a description of work-in-progress footage showing what they called “the explosive finale of a mission to destroy a dam in Tajikistan.” Insider Gaming reported on the clip the following day, describing more than a minute of rough, buggy, unfinished footage. Insider Gaming’s June 20 report reproduced the post and attributed it to Temporyal.
GameSpot also covered the alleged footage on June 23, characterizing it as in-development footage centered on the dam and saying it seemingly came from Battlefield Labs. That wording was tentative: the clip’s origin was not presented as independently confirmed. GameSpot’s report likewise treated the material as alleged footage.
Was it gameplay captured from a Battlefield Labs test?
According to Insider Gaming, Temporyal clarified that the item was “just a video file in the client, not actual gameplay from a test.” That distinction matters: the contemporary report described a video file associated with the game client, not footage recorded while someone played a Battlefield Labs test build. The clip’s precise provenance should therefore be treated as reported, not independently verified.

Did the dam mission appear in the released campaign?
The leak does not establish that it did. EA launched Battlefield 6 on October 10, 2025, and its launch announcement says the single-player campaign has nine missions. The official launch information does not identify a final mission matching the leaked dam sequence or confirm that the clip’s scene appears in the released game. EA’s launch announcement provides the confirmed campaign details.
EA’s earlier campaign announcement describes the story as following Dagger 1-3, a squad of US Marine raiders. Players can direct squadmates and take on the roles of different squad members. EA’s launch release uses the designation Dagger 13 for the campaign squad; the announcements do not explain the difference, so the labels are best kept as each source gives them. How Tajikistan fits into Battlefield 6
EA separately identifies Liberation Peak as a multiplayer map in Tajikistan. That official map detail is distinct from the alleged campaign clip: it neither confirms the leaked dam mission nor shows that the campaign sequence survived into the final game. EA’s launch announcement lists the map in its multiplayer context.
Battlefield 6 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam, the EA app, and the Epic Games Store, according to EA’s launch announcement. Those release details establish where the finished game launched, but do not resolve the leaked clip’s status.
