EA announced the Battlefield 6 Open Beta PC specs on July 31, 2025, ahead of beta weekends in August 2025. Those dates have passed. For a PC compatibility check today, use EA’s current system requirements rather than assuming the beta-era spec table is identical to the launch requirements.

What EA announced for the Open Beta

EA’s July 31, 2025 announcement scheduled early access to begin August 7, followed by Open Beta weekends on August 9–10 and August 14–17. Its detailed schedule gave the windows as August 9 at 08:00 UTC to August 11 at 08:00 UTC, and August 14 at 08:00 UTC to August 18 at 08:00 UTC. The beta is over. EA listed PC access through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app, and said Secure Boot was required to play. Read EA’s Open Beta announcement.

The beta spec table appears as an image on EA’s announcement page rather than accessible text. The announcement supports the schedule and Secure Boot details, but it does not provide an accessible, field-by-field spec list that can be reliably compared with EA’s current requirements.

EA’s current Battlefield 6 PC requirements

EA’s current requirements page lists these minimum and recommended examples. Compare each part of your PC, not just its graphics card, with the relevant tier. See EA’s current PC system requirements.

EA also lists TPM 2.0 enabled, UEFI Secure Boot enabled, HVCI capable, and VBS capable for both tiers. A listed GPU is a system target, not an automatic instruction to buy a replacement; check your full configuration against EA’s current page before changing hardware.

How to check Secure Boot

EA says Secure Boot is required for PC play and ties the requirement to EA Javelin Anti-Cheat. Its launch-preparation guidance directs players to Windows System Information. See EA’s launch-preparation guidance.

If it is disabled, consult your PC or motherboard manufacturer’s instructions before changing firmware settings. The steps vary by device; do not change BIOS or UEFI settings unless you understand the effect on your system.

What to compare before upgrading

  • Operating system and processor: Compare the installed versions and CPU model with the tier you are targeting.
  • Graphics card and memory: Check the exact GPU model and, where specified, video memory. A similar product name does not guarantee the same capability.
  • System memory and storage: EA lists 16 GB memory in both tiers, but recommends an SSD with 80 GiB of space rather than the minimum tier’s HDD with 55 GiB.
  • Security and connectivity: Check the listed TPM, Secure Boot, HVCI, and VBS requirements, along with online access.

The beta announcement’s accessible text does not reproduce its full spec table, so the current official requirements are the appropriate reference for present-day decisions. They are not proof that every beta specification matched the current list field for field.
