Battlefield 6 launched on October 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It supports NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Reflex, alongside Intel XeSS 2 and AMD FSR 4. But the ray-tracing part of the launch claim is not confirmed: the official EA launch materials reviewed do not list ray tracing or path tracing as a Battlefield 6 feature.
What Battlefield 6 launched with
EA lists Battlefield 6 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with PC availability through Steam, the EA app, and the Epic Games Store. EA says the game is available digitally and at retail. EA’s launch announcement and its FAQ provide the platform and availability details.
EA identifies three PC upscaling options: NVIDIA DLSS 4, Intel XeSS 2, and AMD FSR 4. These are separate vendor technologies; DLSS is not the only supported upscaler.
Does Battlefield 6 support DLSS 4 and Reflex?
Yes. In an August 28, 2025 PC announcement, EA listed NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, DLAA, and NVIDIA Reflex. The announcement establishes that these features were announced for the game; it does not mean every option is available on every graphics card or configuration. See EA’s PC and Portal announcement.

What each feature does
- DLSS Super Resolution: reconstructs an image from a lower rendering resolution to improve performance while targeting a higher output resolution.
- Frame Generation and Multi Frame Generation: generate additional frames rather than rendering each displayed frame conventionally. They are distinct from upscaling and do not guarantee a particular frame rate.
- DLAA: applies anti-aliasing without being an upscaling mode.
- NVIDIA Reflex: is a latency-reduction feature, not an image-quality or frame-generation setting.
Does Battlefield 6 have ray tracing?
The official EA launch materials cited here do not confirm ray tracing or path tracing as a Battlefield 6 feature. NVIDIA’s September 30, 2025 launch-preparation article mentions path tracing in a general feature-enablement list, but that generic reference does not establish that Battlefield 6 itself implements it. On the available official evidence, treat ray tracing support as unconfirmed rather than a launch feature. Sources: EA’s FAQ and NVIDIA’s launch-preparation article.
What GPU do you need for Battlefield 6?
There is no single GPU recommendation that answers every player’s needs: the appropriate target depends on resolution, graphics settings, and desired frame rate. EA published PC specifications and target configurations in its October 7, 2025 launch-preparation post, along with advice to use current drivers. Treat those configurations as EA’s targets, not independently measured performance results. Check the relevant tier against your intended settings and display resolution in EA’s PC specifications and launch guide.

Upscaling, generated frames, anti-aliasing, and latency reduction serve different purposes, so support for DLSS 4 or Reflex alone does not establish how smoothly the game will run on a particular PC. The sources cited here do not provide an independent benchmark for an exact hardware configuration or a guaranteed frame rate.
