Battlefield 6 launched on October 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Its “early access” referred to access to the 2025 open beta—not an early launch of the full game. The beta, original preorder offer, and launch prices are all historical; check EA’s current offer and your platform’s listing before buying to confirm what is available now.
When did Battlefield 6 come out?
Battlefield 6 launched worldwide on October 10, 2025. EA listed the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, the EA app, and the Epic Games Store. EA’s launch announcement confirms the release and platforms.
The dates matter because early-access coverage and preorder bonuses referred to the launch period. They do not mean that the full game has a new early-access window in 2026.
What did Battlefield 6 early access mean?
Early access meant access to the open beta ahead of its public weekends. EA announced that early access began August 7, 2025; the two open-beta weekends ran August 9–10 and August 14–17, 2025. Those dates have passed.

EA said viewers could earn an invitation by watching selected streamers. Its code redemption guidance explained that an early-access key worked on any platform linked to the player’s EA Account. The page also said the open-beta download would be available from August 4, 2025. That beta download and key access are not current ways to obtain the released game.
What were the Battlefield 6 preorder bonuses?
EA’s launch-period code guidance said preorder in-game items would become available at worldwide launch in October 2025—not during the August beta. That timing describes the original offer; it does not establish that a purchase made now includes those items or that the old preorder offer can still be claimed.

Which Battlefield 6 offers are separate from the old preorder bonuses?
EA’s buy page lists offers separately from the original preorder package, and its terms can change. As of October 4, 2026, it showed a Season 4 limited-time free trial dated August 18–25, 2026. That window had elapsed by that date. EA said the trial required Battlefield REDSEC on the applicable platform and all game updates, was limited and subject to change, and required purchase afterward. Check EA’s live page rather than assuming the trial is still playable.
The same page listed a Battlefield veterans loyalty offer with an October 10, 2027 expiry. EA’s stated eligibility required using the same EA Account from a qualifying Battlefield title—2042, V, 1, Hardline, or 4—and purchasing through the EA app or participating retailers. The described reward was one character skin, one vehicle skin, and two XP boosters for Battlefield 6 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, subject to account, platform, and other terms. Check the live terms for current availability and regional eligibility.

EA’s October 2025 launch announcement also mentioned a 10% EA Play member discount on the digital full game and a Deployment Pack. That was launch-period information; it does not confirm a current discount, subscription entitlement, or included content. Verify current EA Play terms if they affect your decision.
What to check before buying Battlefield 6 now
- Choose the right platform and storefront. EA lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with PC availability through Steam, the EA app, and Epic Games Store. Confirm the listing matches the platform you use.
- Check the edition and format. Read the current listing for the exact edition, whether it is a physical copy or digital entitlement, and any stated included content. Do not assume launch-era preorder items are part of it.
- Verify the price and offer terms. Prices, stock, editions, and promotions can vary by region and retailer. Confirm eligibility, expiry, and any account or platform requirements on the live offer page.
- For a PC code, check activation details. Confirm which storefront the code activates on and whether it matches the account and platform you intend to use.
EA’s official store also lists in-game currency, Battle Pass and Battlefield Pro offers, and bundles. EA says listed items require Battlefield 6 or REDSEC, game updates, an internet connection, and an EA Account; its catalog can change. These are separate purchases and should not be confused with the original preorder package. Check EA’s buy page for game offers and the official Battlefield store for its current catalog.
