No—Battlefield 6 is not confirmed for Xbox Free Play Days this weekend. The game appeared in past Free Play Days events on February 19–22 and May 14–17, 2026. A separate Xbox announcement says it joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 13, 2026; that is subscription catalog access, not a Free Play Days trial.
When Battlefield 6 was in Xbox Free Play Days
Xbox’s February 19, 2026 announcement listed Battlefield 6 for February 19–22, available to Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members. Xbox Wire’s February announcement gives the event dates and eligible tiers.
EA specified the February trial ran from February 19 at 9 a.m. PST through February 22 at 11:59 p.m. PST. EA said players could access all Battlefield 6 content available during that event, including Season 2 content, and try Campaign, Multiplayer, or Portal. Those details describe the February trial only; they do not establish what a future trial would include. EA’s event announcement
Battlefield 6 was also listed for Xbox Free Play Days May 14–17, 2026, for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members. That Xbox Wire listing identifies the Xbox Series X|S version. Xbox Wire’s May announcement

What Xbox access is announced for October
On October 7, Xbox announced that Battlefield 6 would join Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 13, 2026, for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This is a separate route from Free Play Days: the announcement describes a Game Pass catalog addition, not a weekend trial. Check the October Game Pass announcement for its stated plans and platforms.
| Access route | Dates | Plans named | Platforms or scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| February Free Play Days | February 19–22, 2026 | Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, Essential | Xbox event; EA described the trial content available at that time |
| May Free Play Days | May 14–17, 2026 | Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, Essential | Xbox Series X|S listing |
| October Game Pass catalog addition | Arrives October 13, 2026 | Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass | Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC |
The dates and plan names are specific to each Xbox announcement. A prior Free Play Days tier list should not be treated as the requirements for the October catalog addition, or vice versa.

How to install during a Free Play Days event
For an active event, Xbox’s February instructions offered two ways to find the game:
- Open the game’s details page on Xbox.com and choose the install option.
- On an Xbox console, open the Xbox Store, go to the Subscriptions tab, and find the Free Play Days collection.
These directions come from the February Xbox announcement. Since the listed events have ended, they do not provide a current Free Play Days install entitlement.

What happens when a Free Play Days event ends?
Xbox says a purchase after the event lets players continue playing. Its announcement notes that discounts, percentages, and availability can vary by title and region. If another access route applies—such as the separately announced Game Pass catalog addition—players may be able to play through that route instead, subject to its current terms.
