The Battlefield 6 free week in this headline ran from November 25 to December 2, 2025, and has ended. EA also held separate free trials in August and September 2026; both were over by October 8, 2026. The available announcements do not establish that another trial is currently active. Check EA’s Battlefield 6 page or your platform’s store for current access and purchase terms.
When was the Battlefield 6 free week?
EA’s Season 1 trial ran from November 25, 2025 at 4 a.m. PT (12 p.m. UTC) until December 2, 2025 at 4 a.m. PT (12 p.m. UTC). The original “starting tomorrow” wording referred to the day before that launch, not a current offer. EA’s trial announcement gives the original dates and terms.
EA subsequently announced free access for August 18–25, 2026, and a separate trial for September 15–22, 2026. Both windows have passed as of October 8, 2026. See EA’s August update and September Season 4 guide for those announcements.
What did the 2025 trial include?
The week-long event offered a limited selection rather than the complete Battlefield 6 game: three playlists across three maps. EA said players could access it by downloading the free-to-play game Battlefield: REDSEC on their preferred platform. The full game was described as including a single-player campaign, the full multiplayer offering, and Portal.

EA’s November 25, 2025 press release named PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, the EA app, and the Epic Games Store as platforms for Battlefield 6. Those are the platforms listed for the game in that announcement; check EA or the relevant store for current availability and requirements.
Did trial progress carry over?
Yes. EA said REDSEC players brought their Career Rank, hardware unlocks and levels, customization items, and other progress into the trial. EA also said that progress would carry into the full Battlefield 6 experience after purchase. The carry-over statement describes the trial’s terms; it does not mean the trial itself remains available.
